Next time you feel a UTI coming on or have one & don’t have time to get to doctor, etc…Buy AZO. It’s an OTC med that you can take throughout the day each day until it goes away. It’ll be gone in 2-3 days after you start taking them. It’s an almost instant life saverrr for the pain & flushing the infection out.

Kidney stones are awful. I’ve had two in my lifetime so far. The first one was too big to pass, and got stuck halfway through my ureter. It was sharp too and cut the ureter. So, I went into surgery ( no incisions) but they blasted the stone into small pieces and put a stint in. I had the stint for 10 days, to give the ureter time to heal and then they pulled the stint out. The 2nd kidney stone, I managed to pass, but did so in the Er, as the pain was unbearable. I hope you will be able to pass yours without too much trouble. I will be praying for you! I also hated morphine, but the 2nd stone they gave me another med that I tolerated easier. Anyway, I hope your UTI clears up soon, and your stones passes quickly. Feel better soon! ❤

Heather please don't wait in this stone. I had a large kidney stone and it got stuck in my urethra. I have one kidney so for me it was definitely life threatening as the ER I went to left me in waiting room after Triage for six hours. When they finally did the CT they saw fluid backing up in my kidney and sent me to a higher care hospital for an emergency Stent placement. I was told had it been an hour or two my kidney would have ruptured. I had seven lithotripsy procedures before it was safe enough to remove the Stent. Like Mark said it's a kind of sonic wave. They put you on an operating type table that has a rubber type recessed pocket with water in its. You lay the area where the stone is and they zap you. You're asleep. It didn't cause any discomfort after but I had blood in my urine. It's more serious than you think. The pain of having a stone stuck is like no other. The x ray tech I had told me she had one and the pain was worse than her the births of all five of her kids put together and she had all natural births. If they tell you it may not pass I would listen.

I hope your ok. Someone i know had to have their kidney stone lasered it was too big to make its way down the urethane tube and punctured a tear in it. They had severe pain in their back because the urine was leaking into his body. Be careful hope you are ok
@leahocon62313 күн бұрын
They would use ESWL - extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, to break down the stones (no insertions). It’s 2000-3000 shock waves delivered per hour under sedation. If the stones are still too big after that then they can resort to percutaneous nephrolithotomy, which is a small insertion on your back to surgically remove the stone, done under ultrasound guidance. They would insert a scope directly into the renal pelvis.

I had a kidney stone last fall and it was no fun! I had pain one night and it went away, then it came back with a vengeance!! Went to the walk in clinic and got my meds and had a CT scan the next day and a kidney ultrasound. The meds helped so much with the pain and I don't know when I passed the stone but I did. I was advised by friends to neverrrrrr get the actual surgery if you don't have to because the recovery is almost as bad as the kidney stone pain. The ultrasonic blasting is a better option apparently, I just hope to never get one again! Good luck and fast recovery wishes to you!!

I passed a 9mm stone while pregnant. It wasn’t fun, but it was possible lol. Unfortunately, they couldn’t do any treatment because of my pregnancy. Praying it passes quickly! Drink tons of water, eat lemons, take a shot of apple cider vinegar daily.. those help break up the stone. Also look up some yoga for kidney stones! It really helps. Good luck.

My 21 year old left home to drive an hour a way with a friend. She got half way there and called me and said she was on side the road, I needed to get her and bring her to the hospital. She was in severe pain. Got her to the ER, it was kidney stones. No one in our families has ever had one. So this was new to us.

I have birthed atleast a dozen kidney stones and have had 2 surgeries, the surgery aftermath is dreadful for a week bc they put stents in ur lady parts to help the stone pieces fall out. If I could just skip the surgery and pass the stones at home I would, but sometimes they get stuck and have to do the surgery

Hi mark! I just wanna say that doctors tend to not think gall bladders are serious enough and it’s ridiculous I got call stones when I was 8 years old and they refused to do anything with weekly / daily gall bladder attacks until I was 13! I then had emergency surgery to remove my gall bladder because it tore ! Ps this was in Canada ! So I feel your pain !
