Bag Collection 2021- Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton and Hermes- Ranked by use

Filming a full bag collection takes longer than you might think!
I always want to go through all the little details of every single bag.... but that video would be painfully long... I think this one already borders on it.
In this year's collection I rank each bag by how much I used it in 2020/2021... because we've all been living differently.
Some of my bags in this video are quite dusty- I do warn you! This isn't a problem I usually have as I use them all so regularly, but clearly.... not in this video. I always consider editing out bits that people might not approve of but then again I find these parts to be those which make KZbin different to an entirely manicured production- and it's also what I find interesting.
The fact of the matter is I haven't used quite a few of these for a while...

Yayy I look forward to these videos every December! I made a point to take every bag to the grocery store at least once at the start of the pandemic, but now sometimes I won't even bring a bag. 😅 Did you have any intense 'MUST sell everything' moments in lockdown? I definitely felt that multiple times, but pulled myself back thank goodness.

OMG Yes I did! They just felt like they were taking up too much space and I wasn't using them enough hahahahaha. I definitely had a few of those. Mine were definitely mania induced moments. I also have discovered comfy trousers tend to have the best pockets xx

I’m delighted to see that you have so many black bags. I have a ton as well and my husband is always saying, “Do you really need another black bag?” Lol. I did just branch out and buy two pre-loved Mulberry bags: one is dark blush and one in amber…so I can be flexible. ;-)

This was so enjoyable. Your bag collection is so diverse and I especially like seeing your Dior bags as many KZbinrs have a Lady Dior but nobody I know has any of the others that you have. My favourites are your large Lady Dior and the Diorever. I have a Diorever in either beige or tapioca on my wish list for next year, so I really hope that happens. I so get where you are coming from with not wearing a lot of bags over the past two years. I haven’t worn most of mine as we have spent most of the time in lockdown and I haven’t been allowed to go anywhere to wear them. So I have only worn my usual 3 everyday casual bags for two years. I so hope I will be allowed out more next year. I hope you and Mark and Henry have a happy and safe 2022. Best wishes.

Thanks for sharing Emma! You’re the queen of Dior in my opinion. ☺️. You should totally get the grey lady Dior - I got the grey lady dior with ruthenium hardware and absolutely LOVE the edgy look of it (I reviewed it on my channel recently 😉). It’s too bad that they don’t maintain their value as well as Chanels. I’ve never liked the look of Senreve. Love your honesty! ❤️❤️

Lovely video! I know exactly what you mean about the lack of use. The "challenges" of the past two years have caused unexpected alterations to our lifestyles. I've found my (very small!) luxury bag collection has grown dusty too. It just doesn't seem practical carrying a delicate bag when I'm constantly sanitizing everything I own. Tory Burch bags have been a happy middle ground for me; lovely quality, but not overly precious that I feel uncomfortable having a go with a Clorox wipe LOL. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos. I know how busy you are (physician spouse here!) and so grateful for the work you do! Such a treat to have these during this time. Happy holidays!

I love how you used twillys to make the Chanel tote a top handle! The Gabrielle hobo looks so amazing on you! I think you did good getting the extra strap. It makes the bag look extra nice. Loved seeing all your beautiful bags! I think its to be expected that many bags haven't been used much or at all really with all the restrictions over the last forever! Amazing collection but why keep on those Ikea shelves ? Even the ikea Billy bookcase with the glass doors would display them nicely and protect them , you can even add LED lights inside .

Love these videos. Funny how sometimes we think we will use a bag so much but then don’t reach for it. But we love it anyway. I have a couple of bags I rarely use as I feel it’s too fancy for work or too precious etc but what’s the point of it sitting there? I think I need to re configure my storage so they are easier to see and I might use some more. As you say it does make a difference.

Micro/nano would make me feel like the biggest person in the world. I think beyond ornamental use they're not worth it for me but the mini Lady Dior is the perfect sized mini bag. The Gabrielle is SUCH a good bag- I can't recommend it enough xx

Amazing collection, I have a big birthday coming up in the next couple of years and I’m wanting to purchase my first luxury bag ( Already have 2 Mulberry’s a tote and a mini zipped Bayswater ) I thought maybe a Chanel WOG but for not much more I can get a small bag which I’m going to probably get more use from. As I’m wanting something classic that will never date I’m drawn to either a Lady Dior or a Chanel Classic Flap, what advice would you have?

I would ALWAYS recommend a small bag over a WOC- much more versatile. A Chanel flap in caviar can be used for pretty much all occasions but is very expensive. Hold out for the exact combination you want. A Lady Dior is more 'affordable' (in relative terms) but more distinctive in shape but not as versatile. You don't see many of them around, so if that appeals to you the LD is definitely the way to go- but if you're considering selling it in the future doesn't hold it's resale value. My best advice would be to go shopping one day and try them both on and give yourself some time to consider it (I usually last about an hour haha)- then go back to buy the one you can't stop thinking about xx

@@Emmaanders thank you for your great honest advice, I know in the past when I’ve shopped for my mulberry bags I’ve always take my time as it’s something that has to feel right for you and your needs and more importantly you will use as I probably wouldn’t resell if the future but like you say it needs to be considered. It took me ages to pick my Chanel wallet 😂as I had one in mind was the more expensive out of the ones I’d seen which Is the one I went for in the end, and I’m so glad I got it as I absolutely love holding it and using it. Looking at the Dior website they have some lovely things 😍x
