Just finished up dishes and listened! Thank you for encouraging us to read the Word. I went through many years of my life thinking I was in a close relationship with Christ, but I was not because I was not reading His Word. God speaks to us through His Word! Not through emotions or extra-biblical revelation. We speak to God through prayer and he speaks to us through His Word! I highly recommend Jim Osman’s study about this topic called “God Doesn’t Whisper.” There is a large misconception in the modern church that God will speak to us outside of the Bible, but it is a lie that hurts His people! The Holy Spirit may lead us to repentance, but it is only through knowing the Word of God. Keep reading and studying, ladies!!

The year you did monthly resets I would do a prayer journal each month where i would write requests, goals, and then the next month right down praise reports and special memories! it was my favorite… I should do it again lol

The most beautiful part of your video is how at the end you commented “sorry I just am so passionate when I talk about God.” That is what I my passion to be because I need Him with me every step of this journey… it is His story and I want to submit daily to the role He wants me to play because that is when I have the most peace , contentment and can reveal Jesus to others. I’m watching while eating lunch… I have been waiting for the right interrupted time to watch this video! You sharing your Bible studies last summer (June/July specifically) on Instagram helped me get back into the routine of Bible reading. Since then I’ve done two different topical studies, and now I’m studying 1 Corinthians with my friend. I became more consistent (but definitely not perfect) last year at reading my Bible and praying, and I don’t think I have grown as much in my Christian life as I have in the last 7 months. Now I truly have a desire to go to the Word daily. Sorry for such a long comment! But thank you for being such an encouragement 🤍

At the beginning of January I started waking up early, to have some quiet time before my daughter wakes up and I start my days as a teacher. The time in the morning has been so filling. You are a large part of what pushed me to follow through, and that time combined with TBR, has made a difference even in only 3 weeks.
