Most of my wool coats are secondhand 100% wool or cashmere mixes (my latest navy one is in perfect condition and was £9.99 👀). Plus there's the thrill of the hunt.

Loved this older video. Me, I’m always looking for coats that have double zippers because my hands are handicapped. You have beautiful style. I find that it is minimal but very chic. No fuss! Love the raincoat. Here in California, if I’m wearing a warm outfit, often all I need for a coat is one that will cut the wind. I also love the A-line shape and simplicity. My trench coats are only water-resistant, and they have tons of details: buckle belts, cuff straps, etc. that I often don’t want to bother with. Also, this coat is simple enough to wear casually, too, like on my rainy day exercise walks. A great find!

I love viscose or rayon linings, they keep one warmer than polyester, but because they’re breathable they never cause sweating or overheating, which I always get with poly. I’ve been searching for a wool coat with a non-polyester lining for years, but this one is pricey. I’m also not crazy about the single size.

Hi Emma. What a great collection of winter coats. I love a long length coat- I’m about 5’7” so not that tall but I really dislike a longer cardigan or dress with a shorter coat. Hi Emma- love how much you stress on the fabric that makes the clothes as an essential marker of it’s worth. I’d love it if you could maybe show us coats from size inclusive brands. Send that Jigsaw maxi coat to the cleaners soon, it has several spots on the right front, above the waist. Or, you could try spot-cleaning which often works. Like most people, you probably only get them cleaned at the end of the season, normally. They might set if left too long🙂

We currently have Aritzia in Canada that have puffer jackets which are responsible down too. It get so cold in Montreal that the puffer is great to keep you warm but can’t wait for spring to wear my trainers! I missed them 😔 Can’t wait to see your curated coat video. If there are marks I will go over them with a warm damp cloth (and/or any specialist cleaner depending on the fabric if required) and then aside from that give them a good steam occasionally 👍
