I moved out on my own at 20.. from a house full of 8 people to just myself was a big adjustment. Just find things to keep you busy, play music really low when you’re working or cooking. It was so nice to be on my own though. You’ll have so much fun!!

About 2 weeks ago I also moved in my first ever apartment, alone. I understand what you mean about the silence. I bought myself a little radio for the kitchen, it's nearly always on and it really helps. Or I always do put on some kind of music in the background in the living room. I went to boarding school from 16-18 and I thought my younger sister was loving it simply because she had access to my wardrobe but as we got older she finally told me that she cried the first night I was gone because she felt really lonely. Ellie hanging around is just the cutest thing, I wouldn't be surprised if she's at your place more often!
