There is a way to fix this problem without violating the constitution. The founders did foresee this problem of rogue States; therefore in the original constitution, the federal gov did not have too much power. We can go back to that version, then who cares if the federal gov is run by a demented dude and his handlers. There was not even federal income tax in the original constitution.

A year spent in the trenches facing a Russian artillery three times superior, besieging 35,000 Russian soldiers entrenched in Sevastopol. For the anecdote, the Russian Empire launched on the allied armies 4 regiments of Ukrainian Cossack cavalrymen. In 1855, Russia signed the surrender.

I am French bro, Macron might seems like an honest guy but he keeps contradicting himself, for exemple he (mostly through his government) told that masks were useless at the starts of the pandemic (which obviously/hopefully you know ain’t true),then told the opposite, he also told at the 2017 elections that any officials would have to step down from their responsibility if investigated by justice, however, I can recall at least 3 people (Alexis kholer,Eric Dupont Moretti and Gerald Darmanin) who got (and still are)in trouble with justice, and still are working for the government. Though there is obviously some more that I don’t know about. Plus Emanuel Macron is also being investigated himself for illegal financing of his 2017 and 2022 campaigns. He is also kinda fainting democracy through « citizen conventions » that makes propositions for futur laws and reforms, except that he only agrees on the ones he was already ok with applying, and washes off all of the impactful stuff (if that makes sense) from the one’s he isn’t fully fan off. So conclusion: no da best brother, and not that honest neither.

Is it possible to imagine, that French language is prohibited on someone's whim in the Canada, and only English is proclaimed as the compulsory one. Sure, it's impossible! Canada is a bilingual country: "both English and French are recognized as official languages and granted equal status by the Canadian government.The federal government provides services and operates in both languages". "Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms" requires all provinces and territories to provide primary and secondary education to their official-language minorities" "Minsk agreements" signed by Ukraine, stipulated the means and measures, providing "rights and freedoms" for ethnic Russians in Ukraine, on their historical land, developed by their ancestors long before the Independent State of Ukraine emerged in 1991 Ukraine signed Minsk Agreement, but refused to implement it. If you watch an interview with Hitler where they ask him about what he will do for poverty, you'd have a better view of him. Doesn't make him a good person. reflecting on the history, it's quite uncanny to see the interviewer brought up, as an introduction, the history of u.s and france on the american independence from uk, to stress how close u.s and france have long been. the interesting fact is that after u.s achieved its independence with much as financial and military support as possible the french could provide, it started going back to trade enormously with uk, ruling out france pretty much as a trade partner, which is now believed to be a trigger that led all way up to the french revolution and the execution of louis 16th and his wife, marie.

Macrons peace agreements are a silly notion, Putin doesn’t care about diplomacy, if he did he wouldn’t have invaded Crimea, Georgia and Chechnya. Here in france our leaders are usually part of the elite. Most are educated in our best schools (which contrary to US university have their entrance purely merit based), and Macron like most of them has an extremely solid education, he went to SciencePo (political science formation), then wen to the university for a master in philosophy, then went to the ENA (the absolute elite when it comes to political science and state managment), where he ended up 5th best of the class. He was also a successfull businessman (he made millions mediating the fusion between two multinaitonal companies), economic advisor to a former president, has hobbies like playing piano (he got 3rd place at the conservatory of Amiens) etc...

Being able to have that much influence on trade and militarily is a position only the US have been in during the span of the world history. After WW2 the US came out on top as the worlds undisputed military and economic power. The americans basically said: Go out in the world and do free trade and we will protect everyone’s ships and to a large degree interests (except for the stalinists). All of war-torn Europe came to realise that they could rely on the US with foreign affairs, meaning protecting the free world and trade. Then Trump came along and sowed doubt in this relationship out of nowhere despite the extremely favorable position the US have been in for almost the entire last century. Just a perspective from a Dane, a country with close ties to the US.

Considering his relative youth, I thought he would say: "You can offset your lack of the 'experience' of much older Leaders, with your youthful 'Energy' ." But that's just ME! What many fail to see is how important it is to have a 5th country like France with a more moderate approach to discussing issues that are points of contention between adversaries and to some degree, amongst allies within NATO. Although France is firmly on the side of the Western block--unlike the UK, it has pursued a more nuanced and pragmatic approach to dealing with issues concerning Russia and China as evident of the French President's attempt to maintain normal relations and serve as mediator between the five permanent members of the UN Security Council. France is easily overlooked in today's world and is often seen as a second rate power in terms of it's economic, political, and military influence; but despite it's shortcomings it continues to play an important role in international affairs that no other country, emerging or otherwise can replicate and certainly supplant.

Thanks for mentioning the shameful behaviour of the "old union's" leaders amidst the beginning of the conflict. But, allow me to delve deeper into the subject as without putting things into perspective we may be perceived as falling into uncomfortable bias. Disclaimer: this is my view, but it's based on the inteligence assessments made by other, more informed people. For years US has been a central element of Europe's security infrastructure and was willing to remain so for the foreseeable future. But, it was extremely disappointed with how Europe handles Russian threat. Germany with how it conducts business above the heads of other eastern partners, ignoring the cost of their security, security of the most vulnerable parts of the western world. How UK ignored and swept under the rug all of the espionage and murders on their soil. French with their inept politics and deliberate incapability to influence Germany to brace themselves for impact. It was all, depressing to watch from across the ocean. The reason why all of this was happening is beacuse those countries, each to their own extent were corrupted by Russian resources, money, oil and gas, and cheap precious metals. Whilst Americans had to prepare for the inevitable conflict with China, they knew that the principles that they were spending billions on protecting on the old continent are being undermined by the very detail that is to be protected. It was like trying to swim in a pool filled with sulphuric acid. Americans knew that all of this was happening because teflon Putin made the old Europe an offer they had to consider. He wanted to make more lucrative business with them, and we all know how EU needs growth opportunities and cheap energy, but under condition that they will replace US as the component of the European security architecture. With the exception of UK, which has struggled with their own identity, yet silently prepared Ukrainians to another fight. The other European countries (with few obvious exceptions) didn't seem to really care what's going to happen to Ukraine after 2014, making money was more important. Now, that's the background. When enough information was aquaired to determine that Russian army in reality doesn't have enough oomph to push their political agenda beyond the propaganda of undefeated army things were put in motion. We have watched how this conflict unfolded, how westerners ties with Russia were exposed and then severed, and how much Russia is reliant on China. Now, when Putins plan to secure his win and earn Russia a place back on the table was destroyed we know that that this is a big win to the US. Because: -Russia will be defeated with non american blood, Ukraine will win their independence sooner or later, but rather later, untill Russia completely bleeds out and Putin is removed, -it's a blow to Chinese view of the world and how it can use it's proxies (a function to which Russia will be reduced), -Europe will pay the price that they owe to the US for the safety that was provided, and for the 16 years of Merkel's ignorance, -other quasi totalitarian states around the world are getting message, if Russia can be defeated like then it's better to start shifting our politics, example: Kazachstan. If all of the above was predictable, and if I am a good observer think about what was known to the ones that knew, this couldn't be an opportunity that US could miss. As tragic and as distopian it may seem this is the reality of the situation. Americans will ensure that Ukraine wins on acceptable terms, by bleeding Russians out of money, will, ammunition and most notably support from external factors. That's the long term goal, because in this context there cannot be any other.

What did he see in the eyes of Putin? One can say the same about Biden, “In his eyes I saw dementia of American people”. And how has “France always respected Russian people”? Especially in 1812 when Napoleon invaded Russia. France also “very much respected Russia” invading it in 1918 together with Great Britain and in some other cases. Hypocrisy of this guy has no limits. All this he speaks putting on a meaningful face. Indeed he is the most miserable president of France, which is big shame to the country.

@@alexhumble7653 Alex, you repeating that is boring... France invaded in 1812, but at every turn Napoleon was trying to get Alexander to negociate. Napoleon didn't want this war, but couldn't not go without loosing face (and then this would lead to his new born empire to crumble from the inside). As for 1918, the french were helping their russian friends fight the communist threat. Very unfortunately for russia, the communists won at the end (or are you a communist who think it is a good thing Lenin took over russia?).

I hate communism, but I know much more about the subject than anyone in your country. Any aggressor invading other country always presents excuses. Japan, for example attacked the US at Pearl Harbor because Americans cut off their oil supplies. Would you excuse Japan therefore? Fascist Germany had lots of excuses as well invading many countries including Soviet Union. You are ready to excuse anyone who invaded Russia, but would you accept Russia’s excuses for invading Ukraine? Apparently not. However Russia has many more excuses than any other country, I would say a long list of them. I recommend you to learn how to be fair before entering such kind of discussion.

@@alexhumble7653 you are playing dumb. France didnt "invade" russia in 1918, but sent forces to help its russian friends against the communists, exactly as the US sent forces to france in 1918

The US ask for total devotion which France will never give. A good ally is honest and non biased, not a lapdog,a shame the US can't respect/understand that. Oh and France is literally the leader of the EU and has the largest ZEE on earth but sure the country is irrelevant lol !
