Fascinating. Thank you for the introduction, Mathieu. Before moving to Mme Parrenin's discography, may I drop a few names for the curious. *1)* In 1979, a one-shot band called Regrelh released an album titled "Cants Dels Trobadors: La Douceur d'un Son Nouvel" on Ventadorn label. (The record label is named after the 12th century troubadour, Bernart de Ventadorn.) Free flowing medieval tunes in Occitan; vielle, rebec and voice intertwined with electronic sound effects, electric guitar. Strongly recommended. As with Mme Parrenin, perhaps it could be a revelation to find and record members of the band: Jean-Jacques Palix, Gérard Le Vot, Thierry Lancino, Julien Skowron, François Hebrard, Vincent Dhavernas, Bernard Huneau. *2)* Dorothy Carter's (1935-2003) three albums, exploring similar terrain with dulcimer, zither, hurdy-gurdy. Two of them released in late 1970s and the last one in 2000.
