Music theory is a tool to try to understand WHY something sounds good. It is in no way essential to make good music. It could help elevate your intuition of music though.
@olli25913 жыл бұрын
@@knasigboll @knasigboll Nah, you need a basic understanding of music theory. That understanding can be intuitive, but it's still an understanding. Otherwise you could sit anyone in front of a piano and they could play like this. But nobody can without practice and it's exactly that practise that gives you a basic understanding of music theory, even if you didn't learn that conciously. That said, I think that FKJ's understanding is far more advanced than basic lol. He might not be a music theory genius, but he's definitely not a beginner.

This is why I prefer listening with songs without lyrics, such as this one. It gives me more room to wander off with my thoughts, I feel that if I listen to songs with lyrics it just gives me a fixed story but when I listen to piano pieces and songs without lyrics I picture my own story in the background. I realized how much I missed playing the piano; how good it is for my mental health. As a teenager, I was on track to study piano performance, and I consciously decided not to. It's like the sun on my face after a long day, not really doing much just picking blackberries down at the creek back when I was a kid. It hits like the fireworks in town that 4th of July, where they always had a carnival every year. They still do pretty sure.

This someone who has mastered the art of the piano. Gurantee most of this is freestyled. He’s literally like yea I’m gonna go this direction. Find a riff and explore that. He just gave us a look into his musical genius production process

i’ve been struggling with severe anxiety and depression lately and general living has been really hard the last two months. This piece has made me feel alive in a way I haven’t for a while. I haven’t cried so hard to a song in so long. It felt like beautiful vulnerability, remembering all of the good moments of my life and appreciating the small things I usually don’t in the day to day life. Can say I am grateful to be alive and having the opportunity to experience this life

I was listening to this while I was writing an essay and it just gave me the realization that I do not appreciate little things as much as I should. I thought about breathing, inhaling and exhaling. Something that we do unconsciously. Any time we inhale the clean air and oxygen fills our lungs and anytime we exhale the carbon dioxide leaves our body and the relief it gives is incredible. Even just thinking and focusing on my breathe gave me a huge relief. I felt calmer and relaxed. There are lots of things just like breathing, we do not notice that we do or we have that feature. We should be aware of those little things and appreciate them. I do believe that if we do it life will feel much more easier than it is. Take care yourself and whenever life feels rough, just breathe...

The Universe made sure to put this in my path. And after I finished listening to it, i realized it was a love letter to me, to which one of us. To remind us how proud of us it is for making it this far, never giving up despite the external and internal issues we all may face daily and never show anyone. It’s a celebration of the tiny accomplishments we all have made, whatever it is. To tell us that better and greater days are ahead. To all of you, I love you

This piece feels exactly how I feel about my best friend! We have been best friends for 13 years - since the fourth grade until now. Throughout the years, I have seen him grow, change, struggle, blossom. Ups and downs, fasts and slows, flutters and lags. All in a dreamy haze with a sweet tone, like this song. I miss him so much and I will miss him more once I move abroad.

Amazing what a man can do, with just one thing God has blessed us with. With just a piano, He can take us through time, throughout the universe, and back. What has God blessed you with? And what can you do with that? We don't need more. WE DON'T NEED MORE. We need to know how to appreciate what we have. We need to love what we have. Then we can fully see life for what it is. This is a gift. I am thankful.

I've been playing this video on loop for a few weeks now. It really brings me calm especially these few weeks as I've been so anxious. My uncle is diagnosed with advance cancer, my cat is dying of old age and I'm in the midst of finding a new job while also taking online courses to make myself more marketable while watching my peers get high paying jobs and generally moving ahead in life, making me feel like I'm lagging behind. This video keeps me calm and makes me feel that everything will be fine eventually.
