I used a Rowena iron which I found a lot easier for the bonding of the polyester to the shirt then using the heat press and I did vertical cuts with a sublimated tiger behind like a cage. Thanks for showing all the tips and the materials you used. I was very satisfied with clothing shop for buying shirts - thanks for the recommendation. They were reasonably priced and fast shipping. All of your suggestions were very helpful.

Great video! Just clarifying that sublimation is actually when a solid turns to a gas without passing through the liquid stage, not liquid to a gas without passing through the solid stage 😊. Also, I add my Heat n Bond to the edge of the poly first instead of to the shirt. That way it’s always in the right spot. 😊

Thanks for the Heat n Bond tip. I’ll give it a shot but have to say I’m still a bit skeptical. I did have it placed correctly but it simply would not stick to a degree that made it saleable . The funny thing is that I had this stuff I had bought at a yardsale. Never knew exactly what it was... turned out to be a version of the Heat n Bond ( and theres a full role of it )! lol! It holds stronger than the other product so I’m using that! Still wouldn’t sale because I just don’t trust any of it enough... But use it for my own shirts!!
@FullHouseFancies
@FullHouseFancies Жыл бұрын
@@beinok it only takes a little heat. If you overheat it, it breaks down the adhesive and won’t stay bonded. So make sure you follow the directions closely.

Loved your video! I’m going to try this! One suggestion on the Freddy shirt- I’m wondering if it you made the design with a background so it was rectangular? The other shirt didn’t have the white and with the Freddy one I think the white is a little distracting. Easy fix just make a rectangle and fill it, then put your design in it and print. I do love the look. Nice work!

I’m just getting into sublimation. 😁 In your video, you mentioned you usually get 2 shirts in each size, in each color. Do you get ALL the sizes…XS-5X … or do you focus more on certain sizes like maybe M-2X. Do you find that certain sizes are more popular in your shop? 😃 Also, do you find that certain colors are more popular than others? There are a LOT of color options and as a newbie, I don’t think I’d want to dive that deep just yet. 😂 Thank you for sharing your knowledge. ❤️

Thanks so much for watching Connie! Medium to 2XL are my most bought sizes. The color really doesn’t matter for me it’s the design on it. So I pick a design and then I pick one color that that design will go on. I used to allow my customers to pick the colors but my inventory was so hard to keep track of.

Hi Emma I am still looking which heatpress to buy. May I ask where you bought yours from and my favourite colour too. New subbie.

Thanks for subbing! I purchased my press from My Craft Source, they are always out of stock though so you have to check on their site daily. You may be able to call them and ask when they expect their next shipment. When they do restock they are gone within a matter of hours. Here is the link for mine. mycraftsource.com/starcraft-15-x-15-clam-shell-heat-press-mint.html

A year later newby here, lol. Awesome video. Quick question-how big did you make you sublimation print and how big was the poly square? Thanks in advance!

I believe both of these were printed with my smaller 8x11 printer. So the print may have been slightly smaller.

@@hildagarcia6460 For the outside shirt you can pretty much use any fabric. For the image, if you want to sublimate then you will want to use a high polyester fabric. Since you are new, check out the new video that I posted on 08/02/2021 there is a ton of answers to I'm sure lots of your questions!
