I finally made one of these yesterday after watching your videos the other day. I’m new to sublimation, and I’d only pressed on pretreated poly/cotton blends until yesterday. Oh my goodness! The difference in how vividly the colors show up on 100% polyester is like day & night! I was experimenting on a beach themed shirt and put the blue tie-dye print through a wavy paper crimper before pressing. It made sort of a wavy shadow on the shirt, which looked super cool. I can’t wait to make more!

Maybe steam will work on the wrinkles. What I have done is wash then rinse and use a slower spin cycle. Put in dryer for about 10 minutes with heat. Pull a shirt out and hang immediately but close dryer back so other shirts will keep tumbling. This has gotten rid of wrinkles for me. Wonder if a wash in vinegar would help set the dye? So do you think the sublimation is not really permanent if you iron your shirt?
@EmmasCottage3 жыл бұрын
When you repress with any sort of heat, your going to reactivate any sublimation ink in the shirt which could result in it faded.

Do you have any ideas on how to fold a t-shirt then sub a design on it? When the shirt is unfolded it looks like it has been tie dyed, but, the shirt can be refolded to bring back the original design. I wanted to try to sub the logo where I used to work, Scrunching or twisting it doesn't bring back the original image very well.
