Doctor Pershing keeps touching his ear as a nervous tic because it's the ear that got injured when Cara Dune shot the pilot who was holding him hostage at the beginning of the Season 2 finale.

The mountain top on Coruscant, where they were eating ice cream, was seen in the Mandalorian arc of TCW. It's where Obi-Wan met Satine, when the authorities were looking for her. They sat right there.

As far as I know, the Mandalorian female character is simply known as The Armorer

Yes, the Galaxies Opera House is the place in Revenge of the Sith where Anakin meets with Palpatine during a performance of the Mon Calamari play Squid Lake, and where he then entranced Anakin with the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise.

21:32 We do not know The Armorer's name yet, but it is widely suspected that she is Rook Kast , a Maul loyalist from Death Watch.

21:48 .... we see a shimmer from the living waters. Actually, we have seen it before when the Armorer begins working on any Mandalorian armor. She has either had a huge amount of "Living water" from before the "Purge" or she has been back to replenish her inventory.
@zalf1641 Жыл бұрын
that or the little bit of living water is able to turn the larger ammount of water into living water as well.

At 9:39 the peak of Umate was first introduced in the first High Republic book “Light of the Jedi”. And I think the Mandalorian having this specific scene is special because the peak of Umate had such a prominent scene in that book. This is the first time that a live action Star Wars project has directly linked to the high republic books. I got really excited with this. And I hope they bring that era of Star Wars more into the fold in the future as the books are so good.

"This is just like Polar Express" "This is just like Polar Express!" (Me): I think you might need to broaden your cinematic railroad touchpoints a bit... ...though now I kinda want a Pike/conductor droid fully choreographed "Hot Chocolate" performance. Also; I think they're refering to the Mandalorian blacksmith woman as "The Armorer". Also, also: am I the only one who finds the New Republic kinda sketch? I mean, why even KEEP a "destroy the patients mind" setting on your mind control device (already pretty sus) if you're benevolent? And why wouldn't you have a firm "two operators in the room at all times while the device is in use" policy when it's so powerful!? Seems like pretty basic safety stuff to me.

The original train scene was done many times in other movies. Like "The Great Escape" 1963. Can't fault any reactor for not seeing that movie. LoL
@raymondamador1487 Жыл бұрын
You're not the only one who thinks that the room needed two people in there at all times. Ofcourse I think the 'mind flayer' causes the 'death of personality'. It was done in Babylon 5(tv show). It wipes all your memories that make you, who you are. So after you wake up, you have no memory of who you were. A blank slate that can be trained in a specific job and purpose.

Well, I believe Elia Kane wanted the necessary equipment to keep the cloning facilities running when Pershing obviously didn’t want to work for the Empire anymore. Pershing was the leading doctor when it came to cloning in the Empire so essentially only he knew the secrets to the cloning equipment.

I really like that we get to follow different characters. It is a bit like The Clone Wars, and it expands our view of the galaxy. Not every episode needs to be "hype".

Dr Pershing Seeing the Droid Once a week or every Couple Days ....Its like a criminal Checking in with their Parole Officer. (The New Republic having a Dead Pan Faced Droid Questioning Ex Imperials Important Questions on Mental Health Is a bit Foolish LOL) And As Much as I like Din djarin And Grogu (Bo katan at the end of the Episode Was Like Oh so Now i am In the Cult lol) aka ''The Children Of The Watch'' ( Its Kinda Of a Cult lol)

This was my favorite episode of the Season.That dastardley Officer Kane and her manipulative tactics! I must say though, her loyalty to the Empire is supruisingly strong given that most pepole just turned coat as soon as things went south after Endor, Jakku or earlier. I can respect loyallty as a trait while condemning the actions of the regime. But that' s just my opinion, of course.

I wonder how many people noticed that Dr. Pershing is the only person ever in any star wars movie or show to wear glasses?.... this as they say broke a long standing George Lucas rule.. tech was supposed to be so far advanced that there was never a need for glasses...
@Josh_Lee_Henderson Жыл бұрын
There was an Imperial dude in Rebels who had glasses. He was from that episode where Chopper got hacked. I think it was called Double Agent Droid. Other than that I think you're right; we just see people with goggles, like Tech from Bad Batch

It is also interesting how throughout the whole Star Wars universe you only get to see bad people and those who fought against the empire. However, there were billions who liked it and how Palpatine managed things.

Doctor Pershing getting his memory wiped was incredibly dark and disturbing. It’s the most traumatizing thing I’ve seen since Anakin burning.
@toddsmitts Жыл бұрын
This one is rather controversial with fans, I think for the same reason as a couple of the episodes of "The Book of Boba Fett" where Fett was mostly or entirely absent and instead we saw Mando's story. I don't think fans like it when you take the focus away from the principal character or characters and focus entirely on secondary characters doing things seemingly unrelated to the principal character.
@chloec4009 Жыл бұрын
This episode and Bad Batch are a great deconstruction of the Empire as the Nazi/Imperialist allegory it was intended to be. Particularly Operation Paperclip for this episode where high ranking Nazi's were granted "Amnesty" if they continued to work for the Allied Forces after WWII. Through this, fascist ideology was allowed to permeate many different aspects of governments and especially now we are seeing the results of that effort as many within our governments are more and more openly supporting fascist ideology.

Wait. Why were there TIEs attacking Din and Bo and Bo’s castle? I’ve seen the season and it makes less sense on rewatch. Like those who know, know where they came from, but what they’re doing in this particular instance seems counter productive. No spoilers for Emme’s sake please
@PaulGuy Жыл бұрын
------------------------ Spoilers spoilers spoilers ------------------- They need to keep word about Mandalore from getting out, and they likely detected ships coming and going, and managed to identify Bo-Katan's ship. So they tried to kill her and blow up her house to keep her quiet. It wouldn't be good if the few remaining Mandalorians had something to rally around, after all.
@deanthemachine8879 Жыл бұрын
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER . . . . . . . . @@PaulGuy but they didn’t intercept them on Mandalore. The TIEs (with TIE bombers) were waiting for them on the moon her castle was on. It would have made sense for them to get intercepted right off Mandalore as though the TIEs got scrambled when Grogu left Mandalore in the N-1, arrived on Bo’s moon, then Grogu and Bo come back to Mandalore, then leave again. Like they couldn’t assume Bo would be there. They would have looked like dummies if Bo, Din, and Grogu happened to go literally anywhere else after Mandalore. It would have made more sense to just a smaller scout patrol to cross the Mandalorians’ path between planet and moon, not a decent sized bomber wing with escort
