Thank you friends for watching my reaction to Moon Knight episode 3, The Friendly Type! This episode was BEAUTIFUL in my opinion. The music, scenery, fight scenes, and of course the scene at the end all amazed me. Truly cannot wait for the second half of this season!

It was indeed beautiful but if this set in the current MCU’s present (around 2025) they are any numerous apps or programs that can accomplish the same thing available now. Yes I understand it’s a choice to serve the story but still.

This show is a masterclass on the story-telling craft of "worldbuilding". The writers had so much detail to introduce us to in this crazy world and I think they've done it masterfully. This story line is engaging, funny, tragic, and unpredictable. I love it. Love hearing your theories and your takes on morality!

Good point about worldbuilding, particularly because (unlike most Marvel shows) it's very standalone. A lot of the earlier shows were built around characters who people already knew, but this one started from scratch. So, all the more impressive. And I agree about morality. Is Khonshu a "good god," or is it just that the other gods are even worse? 🙂

One of the best shots is in this episode, when Marc grabs the mirror then allows Steven to take over - on screen. Just the widening of his eyes, a tilt of his mouth, and you can tell it's a different person. That was fantastic.

For me, this episode was just amazing! Perhaps even the best one... either this or the finale! I absolutely loved this and Oscar Isaac's performance where he had to change his voice tone as Khonshu was some incredible acting, he deserves an Oscar

A sarcophagus was a bit more than just a coffin. They were larger and built for important individuals inside of rooms (or tombs) instead of just buried like a coffin is. Also, I want to address your thoughts on how Konchu/Marc/Steven came together, but want to avoid spoilers. Is it your impression that Konchu/Marc somehow found Steven and took over his body? If so, I would remind you that Layla clearly recognized Steven as Marc at least visually.

I don't think Khonshu stuck around when the other Gods of Egypt abandoned humanity out of some sense of moral duty. I think he stuck around because the idea of evil people getting away with crimes really sticks in his craw. All the other gods were like "For a thousand years we have help shepherd mankind towards civilization. Now, humanity has outgrown us, and it is time to step back and allow them to discover their own destiny. So we shall withdraw from this world into a higher plane of existence." Khonshu's like "Nope." And they're like "What do you mean, nope?" And he's like "I'm not punishing the evil ones. Piss off." Also, bit of trivia: The owner of the sarcophagus is Gaspard Ulliel as Anton Mogart. In the comics, Mogart is the villain *Midnight Man,* a particularly violent thief and nemesis of Moon Knight. Obviously they were setting him up for future stories...and then shortly after filming, Ulliel died in a tragic skiing accident.

I like how you keep describing Harrows followers as a cult but they are worshipping a literal god, which technically makes it a religion. So then we have to talk about where a cult ends and a religion begins or if there's even a difference at all, given that many if not all gods are made up to control people.

2 views, this might be the earliest I've gotten to one of your videos. But then it is 2am. Did you notice how Steven didn't remember making the date with the woman from the museum but Marc is married, and doesn't seem to no longer be interested in Layla, but trying to distance himself from her to protect her from khonshu? Also regarding Arthur taking all those people to the awful heat in Egypt, but moon Knight takes place in around 2025, and if this last week is anything to go by, Londoners might be used to 40°+ temperatures by then. As for how many gods there are, even without seeing the MCU you probably know at least Thor exists, along with the other Norse ones With regards to Arthur being able to manipulate the other gods, in just about every mythology I can think of, god's are known for being arrogant and foolish, and pretty frequently tricked by other gods and sometimes humans. Hell in my country's mythology, the entire country was a giant fish fished up from the depths, and the reason days are the length they are because a man got fed up one day by the sun racing across the sky so he made a big net to tell it to chill out and slow down. And you're right, there absolutely are astronomy apps that let you see a sky map from a different date. Steven and khonshu didn't *have* to give everyone on earth a panic attack, but maybe they didn't have any signal out in the desert.

@@emme new zealand (hence why its 2am) Our Maori mythology is pretty cool, Maui fished the country up out of the ocean from his waka (boat) with the South Island being the boat and the North Island being the fish. Most importantly though for all the legends about him, he also gave humanity dogs (but also doomed mankind to death where we were previously immortal, because he pissed off the goddess of night by crawling into her vagina)
