I do think there is more to Omega's DNA then just being like Boba. I think we most likely will find out when Omega reunite with Nala Se who is the person who fully knows what Omega truly is.

The facility they were at is an old Kaminoan facility they started when their planet flooded and the body that landed on Fennic was an original Kaminoan before they cloned their entire species to essentially speed up their evolution so they could survive on their planet that at the time became a water world

The creatures in the tanks are either other cloning projects (keep in mind the Kaminoans were in business long before the Clone Wars) or the Kaminoans themselves. In Legends, the Kaminoans engaged in heavy genetic modification, to the point of eugenics, to survive a climate catastrophe.

So... I believe the reason they need Omega specifically is because her DNA isn't messed with at all (somehow aside from her being female). All other clones have their DNA altered to grow faster, so they can't be used as a base sample. And I'll remind you that Cad Bane isn't just a bounty hunter, he's a *Jedi killer.* All of his gadgets are designed to give him the ability to stand on even ground with a Jedi (or other Force-user). Those tubes in his neck prevent him from being Force Choked. And his rocket boots give him enhanced maneuverability like a Jedi. Also, I legitimately wonder... if two clones (one male, one female, but otherwise genetically identical) produced a child, would the child also be a clone? (Though I think the natural random gene selection process would prevent that. Even if two people have the same DNA, a child they produce could express a different combination of those identical genes).
