I kinda feel bad for Lucy bc, while her character has had some controversial storylines before, i dont think shes had one thats made her character the absolute enemy the way this one has. Most other storylines have made chas sympathetic in some way, but not this one. I dunno if the writers didn't realise this and thought we'd route for her or what but wow. I've never seen a time when a main character has been so absolutely detested by an audience, myself included.

THE AUDACITY!!!!!!!!! Because of her affair she missed the moment of her mothers passing, kind of caused the death of her sort of step daughter and is the reason why her brother confronted Al and maybe did or did not kill him. I really hope the affair get's exposed and Chas is excommunicated from the Dingle family and that Paddy takes Eve and the two of them go and join Aaron in Milan. I mean the reason why Aaron lived with Paddy first time around was cus Chas didn't give a stuff about him and put her relationship and her needs before her family. Old habits die hard it seems. She had everything. Paddy is a good man. He from day one took on Aaron without batting an eye and because a good influence on him and no matter about biology Paddy is Aaron's dad and Aaron is Paddy's son. End Of. So I hope that Paddy goes off with Eve and the two of them become their own little family with Aaron and Marco in Milan and that Chas ends up bitter and alone in life cus she deserves it. Every good man she had she didn't appreciate. Paddy, James, DS Wise. She needs to face the consequences of her actions.

Paddy is the reason her son turned out as well as he did because we all know that for all of his faults, Aaron is a kind and caring man who loves his family, and that is not something that the childhood that Chas and his shitty bio dad set him up for. Even back when Aaron first took Liv in, he said he wanted to do for her what Paddy did for him. I hope Paddy takes Eve away from Chas as well. How many people actually like modern day Chas? I stress modern day Chas. Originally she was a very good character but that was a very long time ago, and the decline started post-Carl King, with her only continuing to get worse and worse. I can’t think of a single positive aspect of her character these days or in recent years. Other characters can be annoying but at least have funny / witty lines from time to time; she doesn’t even have that.

Also if Cain is going down for murder and everyone knew he had a beef with Al, then what motive was he getting rid of by hiding Chas' affair? everyone knew Cain and Al were at each-others throats so Cain wouldn't have needed a motive. Chas was talking to Cain about power, but that is what Her and Al were about. Power. She did not love Al. Chas couldn't cope with Faith's diagnosis so she flung herself at Al. That was something she could control- until she became addicted to it. then like all addictions it got the better of her she was no longer in control and it was her dirty shameful secret. if she saw nothing wrong with what she was doing she would have been upfront and open about it, she wouldn't have cared about the consequences or what people would say. This is a woman who chose her own affair over her own son (whom I don't blame for disowning her from his life for good) and is claiming her brother is evil when she is actually the one who caused most of what has happened in the last week. Yes, Cain and Al were enemies which is not uncommon knowledge in the village but the only reason why Cain is in custody is because he was protecting his sister from making a worse mistake of her life which is already too late in my opinion. She keeps telling her brother that she is not afraid to tell the truth but what about telling Paddy about her affair? She won't do it and we saw this! She chose to have an affair when the storm happened, when her mother was dying and is the indirect reason why Liv died because Paddy was out looking for her thus asking Liv and her husband to look after Eve!
