@tomhiggins6542 because chas got pregnant and he knew he couldn't look after chas, the baby and Caleb he's was only 17 or 18 himself he couldn't look after them 3 he didn't have much money. Then he told chas not to go back to there dad to stay wurh Gordon and then Gordon hurt Aaron so I think he blames himself for telling caleb to go and then telling chas to try with Gordon while he was in prison if he didn't go to prison chas would of stayed with her and she wouldn't of gone with Gordon or left Aaron with him so cain blames himself and doesn't want Aaron to find put as he think Aaron will not forgive him for it.

@@juliewinfield5986 you can understand him been mad for a short time but not 30 yrs. Also it was 20 odd yrs later the truth came about Gordon, he can't blame himself for that for 30 yrs cause they didn't know for 25 or so.

Honestly Cain is pretty Horrible for wanting to keep Caleb away even after 30 years like the way he was so aggressive about him staying away from the rest of the family I was kinda thinking the flashbacks would reveal Caleb murdered someone or something. but it Turns out Cain's just being an arshole really.

Yes you thought a big dark secret but this was it ??? This is a family who regularly steal each other's partners and are still on speaking terms but Caleb overstepped the mark by doing what? Some people are trying to play the Gordon card the truth didn't come out till 25 yrs later.

Also Cain telling everyone Faiths dead??? She appeared in it a few months after Cain first started and they was pretty neutural which was good for Cain at that point.

All this did was add to the notion I already had that Cain is a pathetic character with a pathetic backstory. I know lots of people like him but I'm one of the few who definitely doesn't.
