they clearly are copying peter barlows story here, switching off emmerdale for a while, Liv is one of the most pointless characters and she’s the only one on tv half the time, they gotta hire better actors

They aren’t copying his storyline. It’s a very common thing and it isn’t unusual for different soaps to have a similar storyline. Liv’s character is hardly on screen and the only reason she is in this episode is because she’s in the mids of a storyline. This is what all soaps do if someone’s apart of an important storyline there character will be onscreen more often. Liv has been an alcoholic for a while this is her relapse. It’s important to show anyone of any age can have an addiction and can relapse. Isobelle is an amazing actor and many share that view.
