Man why aren't people talking about THIS! Godwin is always the truth, the most beautifully honest alto player I know of this generation. A living legend we need to celebrate forever...

The bassists that play with Emmet are otherworldly. Every musician is amazing, but I play bass and know how special these guys are.

He sounds so much like Bobby Militello, but his phrasing and vocabulary is gorgeous in a way that is quite separate from Militello’s

Nice connection. I think his tone is slightly more rounded off than Militello’s, which has a bit more punch to me. Their consistency of tone through the different registers is definitely similar though.

I love this tune! Godwin’s playing is so inspired, always melodic and there’s so much intensity and momentum through his lines. So nice to hear the texture change drastically with the piano solo as well, kept me engaged the whole way!

Great performance. By the way, the end credit cited Bass as Russell Hall, it should be Yasushi Nakamura instead.

Good tune and alto playing. I couldn’t do all that rocking back and forth..😐. Bird stood solid while his perfect fingers percussed the keys and notes flew out of his sax. Each to their own innit..
