Isn't it awesome to find new acts? I got to see both Emmett's Trio and Samara with her band in Newport 2 years ago. It's refreshing to hear a new breed rippin' thru a standards set, new stuff, etc.

The drummer in the 1rst tune using the butt of the stick doing an accent~ nice touch volume wise. He then ends the tune w/ both stix in R hand 1 w/ bead other with the butt , R hand with a brush. Crafty player. Great recording fellas!

Vaya tela! He visto muchos conciertos de Emmet. Gente como él suele superarse con los años. No sé hasta dónde va a llegar este muchacho de 34 años recién cumplidos este pasado 25 de mayo. Parece imposible una mejora. Lo pasa tan bien, especialmente con Mr. Pool, que sé que la tradición, los grandes pianistas que conoce tan bien, el blues y el gran bagaje que tiene no lo perderá nunca. Ya estás entre los favoritos. Emmet, este verano de 2024 nos veremos en Santander (España). Hasta entonces. Y mil gracias.

woow what a magic all of tunes. Im very enjoyed 5:45- his original Lion song. This sounds me as if Beethoven’s 23rd-3 sonata motif.

@@rhythmfield Seems these days that it would be a the Royal Philharmonic Hall rather than a club unfortunately. Its great there by the way!

I am enjoying this tremendously! and at the same time it occurs to me that you might be aliens who have come here to make fun of the whole idea of a piano jazz trio! You are throwing everything into the pot and make a stew that contains every flavor from Jelly Roll to Erroll Garner to Monk to Brubeck to John Lewis... to Looney Toones. Everything old becomes new again...and it all comes back to swing and groove. You are the most!
