This episode was so intense I literally had to pause throughout the episode to take breaths... Such beautiful acting by Neil and Emmett OMG and story writing! GIIVE THESE GUYS AWARDS.

Neil Newbon is a vey good actor he and Emmett have great chemistry together they play off each other very well.. I don't understand why Neil wasn't voted "New Comer" it's crazy to me he's a far better actor than the actor playing Dr. Browning.

This is acted so well, especially Neil, wow! However, over time I have changed my mind about the "rape" scene. I don't care if the producers/writers say it was not rape. What exactely is the excuse for doing this to someone who is obviously paralized with fear, just because he doesn't say "no" or doesn't scream and initiated the kiss? No matter how you look at it, Brendan doesn't give a fuck that after the kiss Walker just lays there and looks terrified. At this point he should have stopped.

This is so complex. I don't think it was rape. Walker says he tried something meaning them having sex might have been his plan to regain Brendan's trust. His limpness and utter disgust with the act actually happening was because of how much he hated Brendan and would probably rather be dead than have sex with him. Like I said, it's so very complicated because I think it was consensual because in that moment, Walker saw it as the only way to regain his trust so he could carry on with his scheme against Brendan but he hated that he had to do it. However, I do agree Brendan should have taken note of the obvious visual cues and body language to see that Walker wasn't really into it.

I'm utterly speechless. The writers, Emmett and Neal have done such an amazing job with these characters and that storyline. It's so captivating and bold - going to places I couldn't imagine a DALY SOAP (!) would ever dare to go. This Hollyoaks Later thing is the best idea ever. Again, Walker's initital motives don't matter and Brendan doesn't know anything about that. The only things he knows is that Walker initiated a kiss and then didn't give him in any way signals that he wanted to have sex with him. Quite the opposite. Stop shifting the responsibility to just one person. Banging someone who reacts like that is just wrong.

Wow. What got me about the Bralker scene is that, to me, it felt like this way of having sex was somehow taught to him: the licking, the way he turned Walker's head, almost like he was holding it down. Almost like this was learned behavior from his childhood? I'm sure he didn't have sex this way with Ste...unless it was my own imagination?

I know Walker is doing this for his brother but OMG, he looked like he was dying inside and probably was!!!! It's probably a good thing I watch these episodes because on Daytime Hollyoaks, Brendan appears to be this wanna bad/tough guy. Ya we saw him kill Mick yada yada but within the context of daytime soap.....this really lets us see how much of a bad guy he is and how far he will go to protect those he loves. That's cool and all and I'm loving it but Ste.....STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!!! LOL

I had to pause the vid at that moment, because it was that powerful. That scene took a few minutes to process before I could move on. Then Brendan's reaction to his little sister seeing him in such a way...God. Just tortuous all around.

The sex between Brendan & Walker left me speechless. I never thought Walker would go there. And the break between Brendan & Cheryl I wasn't expecting either. Theresa's text to Cheryl and Cheryl's discovery has broken the relationship between her and Brendan. He's also lost Joel & Theresa, although it's only Joel that matters to him. It looks like Bendan now has no one, except his nemesis, Walker.

My problem with this scene is Brendan's behavior based on the info he had. He doesn't know anything of Walker's motives (and even if that was his initital goal, he clearly couldn't deal with it when it happened), he just sees and feels how he reacts after the kiss, that is what matters.

I think the reason it seems like Walker wasn't into the sex was because he wasn't. People seem to be forgetting the point that, to Walker, Brendan represents the loss of his baby brother, so of course he's not going to enjoy having sex with him. But throughout the entirety of his time on Later (and in the previous episodes), Walker has been trying to gain Brendan's trust, so in his mind, he needed to have sex with Brendan, uncomfortable or otherwise. Simple as.

There's a logic to what he's done. He's cutting off the ways to identify the body - the feet, the hands, the teeth - to protect Joel. Then Cheryl walks in and that's it. The last straw. He's very good at compartmentalizing and her seeing him doing that blurs the lines. Crazytime! Then Walker's comment about Cheryl, and an already fragile state gets pushed over the edge. Man, that was terrifying to watch. And Walker's reaction to the sex... Neil was EXCELLENT there. Where to now, Hollyoaks?

point blank is this scene was not a rape scene the producers said it wasn't a rape scene and the actors who participated said it wasn't and the fact that walker and brendan had a total wwe fight match before the sex scene is a clear indicator that walker was not afraid to stand up to brendan and defend himself so if he felt threaten he would obviously do something the scene was creepy at best but i know that that wasn't a rape scene

This was a really hard episode to watch. I knew the Walker/Brendan hookup was coming but only a sick person could have enjoyed that. THEY certainly didn't. They were just using each other, a means to an end, and knowing that, especially with Walker crying and scrubbing Brendan off his skin in between, just twists my stomach. That being said, it was not rape. If Brendan had been in a better frame of mind, he would have realized that Walker wasn't into it. And the cutaways only show what Brendan is doing and how Walker reacts to it; they conveniently don't show Walker participating at all to make it that much more ambiguous. Cheryl walking in, finally seeing that Bren really is a monster like Teresa said (even tho Teresa is calling him that for all the wrong reasons) was just heart-breaking. I don't know why they made Brendan take it so far. There's absolutely no reason for him to and no reason why wise and intelligent Brendan Brady would. This storyline started out intriguing but it's taken an unnecessarily dark and twisted turn now.

I am not convinced at all, even if Walker was new to gay sex Brendan screwed everything. He only wanted to have Power on Walker, I saw a rape here. Ok Walker didn't Say no, in some frames He seemed like "liking It" but considering how he felt later I think that Walker was raped. The boy was totally terrified, that's not consensual sex. That's rape.

Until I finally did. And Bronagh nailed that feeling, I think. My heart broke for her AND for Brendan in those moments.

If anyone scarred Joel emotionally it was Walker-he was the "Cop" who could have saved Joel's Father-but no-he killed him, so he's a Saint, just like he let Lyndsey be killed. Saint Walker. Actually, I think Brendan tried to protect Joel & did. He would "die for the ones he loves" as the blood sucking Vampire said. Brendan has brass balls, but that doesn't mean he enjoyed cutting up the corpse 4 Joel.. 2 me-so he's a Hero 2 do that, I'd want him to protect me 2.

Okay. What makes Bren redeemable is this. That he was so bothered by Cheryl seeing him. "You don't come back from that...I mean...my baby sister!" He was affected by the entire situation. from Joel shoving Mick off the tower to disposing of the body to protect Joel. But he's a sociopath! He compartmentalizes. Getting rid of the body was a job to be done, just in secret. That Cheryl seeing him affects him so much PROVES he's capable of redemption. The question is simply how to do that.

i think that BB was totally bothered by what he was doing to mick's body if you watch his face...he was all teary. he had to make himself go to a different place inorder to do it. but it was what needed to be done in order to protect joel so he did it. which leads to walker being right on the money that BB will do anything to protect those that he loves so walker needs to become one of those that he loves, so that is his new tactic. it wasn't rape, he was just taking a step in that direction

Brenda's lost Cheryl for forever now. I thought Brendan was making progress, yet he didn't seem the least bit bothered about any of what just went down. With Danny at least he had a slight conscience. Walker is in over his head, his plan is sure to backfire. The only thing he will get from his revenge is becoming more screwed up then he already is.

Nope, writers are not the judge here. Sure, they can make up an alternate universe were morals and laws are different from our reality, but since this is set in our world they are no authority on the question of when it is okay to have sex with someone and when not. The overwhelming reactions they got showed how questionable and ambiguous the whole things was.

Brendan has a skewed sense of right and wrong so his lack of remorse over Mic doesn't bother me...he's a sociopath so at least he understands the fundamental issue: killing a human being is wrong. First: Mick falling off the lighthouse was his own fault, or in any case Joel's, but never Brendan's. Second: Brendan chops the guy's hands and feet, most likely so that he cannot be identified in case someone finds the body. If you notice, when Chez comes in, he's holding pliers...likely to remove the teeth. He might be burning those parts in the fire set outside, where Cheryl pukes. Third: He's obviously not enjoying it, it's just practical. He's redeemable, imo.

The tone of the sex scene is horribly misleading. First it seems like Walker was fully intending to have sex with Brendan to manipulate him, but later he looks traumatized and disgusted. If it isn't rape, then why do you make it look as such? Or even worse, imply he was asking for it? It's a dick move from the show runners to treat consent ambiguously. It just further invalidates the experiences of sexual assault survivors
