Not only do I find additional books on top of my already overflowing TBR but I also find these videos extremely cosy and relaxing to enjoy with a cup of tea. University has started around a month ago where i live, and since then my anxiety has been breaking records. It has been the worst yesterday and today and tbh i have no idea what im supposed to do to change this, esp knowing that the biggest factor affecting my anxiety is my own brain. I havent been able to enjoy any of my hobbies including reading. As much as i feel that taking some time off everything including uni would help, i cant afford to do that because i dont wanna mess up my grades. watching your vids always help so thank you
@lia_tabeaАй бұрын
I totally feel you! Wishing you all the best for this semester and in general 🤍 pls don’t forget to not be so hard on yourself and to take well deserved, regular (study) breaks. I am sending you a virtual hug 🫂
@oofym353Ай бұрын
You should probably be studying then, rather than distracting yourself with youtube videos. University is a privilege, put your whole effort into it rather than view it as a chore.
@aamnahere6250Ай бұрын
@@oofym353 It's a bit dismissive to assume someone is wasting their time through distraction. What you're referring to as 'distraction' is time for unwinding and relaxing and it's extremely important to be able to perform well. Those who don't do it either don't realise they're not performing as optimally as they could or end up having a burn out. Also when people are struggling with something, it's not helpful to tell them to get over it because university is a privilege. Just because it is a privilege does not mean it doesn't come with difficult challenges. People should be free to find comfort in calming activities to overcome the feeling of overwhelm.

Take time off - grades mean literally nothing if your mental health is bad. They won't mean anything in 2-3 years time

I've really gotten into psychological thriller/scary. My faves so far are: - The Stepford Wives by Ira Levin - Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier - My Cousin Rachel by Daphne du Maurier - Shutter Island by Dennis Lehaye as far as unreliable narrators and autumn vibes go, highly recommend _I Am The Cheese_ (kinda like _Catcher in the Rye_ meets _Shutter Island_ but it's def its own vibe)

This was so beautiful thank you so much! I must admit I've always kind of stuck to romance books and haven't really ventured into other book styles. Recently I bought some fantasy books, one dark academia, witchy books and Salons Lot (in time for the film complete accident as didn't realise there was a film out, must be fate!) and I'm truly loving this whole new world I'm seeing!!! It's wonderful you have thrown in some more classic reads I would even say educational books many of us read in school which I find truly heart warming. It's the perfect season to curl up with a book and wander the footsteps of their journeys. I saw the video (possibly the one where you're house sitting for your parents, or could be a different one I'm new to your Chanel!) where you mentioned real estate issues you're having. I too am having house issues. Currently trying to sell a property left to me and brother left to us by our late father and the dramas involved trying to prove we own the property is truly sole destroying at times. Imersing into a good book is the perfect escapism. I'm so glad I found you ❤
