I have the same flushing issue! My dermatologist said it was “transient erythema” due to blood vessels being so close to the skin. I always try to have something cold to hold on to, especially before a big presentation or after working out. I have had similar comments from others over the years, but have tried to just embrace it. Sending lots of good thoughts ♥️

I have the tomato flushing too! Exactly everything you described. Putting a cold face mask on or even rubbing an ice cube on the face helps. I get extremely red while exercising too, and I also am part Scottish, and I also was made fun of for looking super red after running the mile in elementary school. It takes hours to go away after I push my cardiovascular system running, hiking, etc. I’m at peace with it now though.

Also any sensible normal human being shouldn't care how other peoples'faces look. I for once never cared that some people just get more red than others. People who make fun or comment on other peoples appearance for fun or ridicule always gave me the ick and i am glad as an adult i dont have to listen to that and avoid these people altogether 😊

You could consider getting sheets of clear UV film to put on the nearest windows -- from what i understand most of the sunning damage to book spines, etc. is from the UV radiation in the direct sunlight. Clear UV film will go onto your windows like wallpaper -- make sure no air bubbles! Happy reading.

I want to say I am much less red being on birth control (so basically it is hormonal to an extent for me) and when I am making sure to breathe and stay hydrated. But overall, the comments saying that not caring what others think really is the best cure since the embarrassment was enough to make it worse and just happen in the first place and then just acceptance of our human bodies doing what they do is nice mentally
