Delores sung like a crazy woman! Casettia sung fire from HEAVEN! Dorothy sung like she was singing like she had a million bucks! Inez Lawd that woman there no words! But she did awesome! The Great Albertina Walker all she got to do is open her mouth she will tear up a concert or church!

DeAundree Turner I totally agree with you. All of your reviews are right on target and we shall never see the a powerful and anointed performance like this again. Every song was beautiful and the ladies looked spectacular as they always do. Bravo to the musician who kept up with them. I have seen The Caravans several times through the many years and this was so far the greatest. I cannot express how much I love seeing them together. The Audience did come around...I know it was Mother’s Day, but lord!

Thank you for posting this. With tears running down my eyes the memories of The Mother's Day concerts flood my mind. You see, my Aunt Rebecca Collins sand with Emmitt Powell & The Gospel Elites for over 30 years and I was with her/them alot! I met Cassietta, Inez, Shirley and many GREAT names. I little, but I hold a memory of Inez SINGING and then leaving the stage..she sand back stage for along time in The spirit..tears rolling down her face..this it info believe!

Johnny, I think I was at either the first Mother's Day concert Emmit had in 1977 or 1978. It was at the Cow Palace and his featured guests were the Dixie Hummingbirds. That was way before I found out that a lot of these legends would end up becoming friends with me.

I remember seeing this before which I was glad though Dorothy Norwood disappointed me when she started reading the audience that was probably Methodist and a little stiff. His concerts were a little sedate but he was popular here.

to sum up all of the video Y'ALL BETTA SANG. this is real gospel, when people sing a song base off their testimony and their experience with the holy ghost. You just can't get up and sing any song you want to with out going through nothing or knowing nothing about the holy ghost and then sing about it.
