@fuzzysting Yea...it's the same as RnB - from the hips...but the waltzes and the other dances that require a more 'stiff'' technique are definitely much harder for soemone with a RnB background. Emitt is 'smoot cool' with a godlen smile !!!

I'm watching this and I have no idea how Emmitt scored higher than Mario for the samba. He was shuffling his feet instead of doing samba walks and pretty heavy footed as well. It's not even close! I think the judges judged Mario to a higher standard..

Hey amywinekid: Samba is danced to a beat that is singular to Samba. If the music is played with that beat then you Samvba. And believe me Samba was danced loooong before anyone ever did any rap or hip hop songs. Samba has been around much longer than rap or hip hop. What planet are you from?

Well, Site has apparently never done Latin dance in his/her life. The music has a samba beat (the very distinctive 1 a-2, 3 a-4 beat), and the routine clearly has some samba basic in it (from :26 until :35 is all basic, bronze level samba). That said, they didn't deserve a 30 on this dance.
