I feel this. Every band in this genre is going the single guitar with a shit ton of backing tracks direction. It's kind of a joke that it's become so widely acceptable and commonplace now. I think we killed the music industry with streaming and because bands don't make shit, they can't afford to split the income more than four ways, so they have the bare minimum amount of musicians onstage that they can get away with.

All that matters is sounding tight and manageable. It’s probably easier and less of a hassle. If you’ve ever started playing in bands as a 4 piece you’d know how chill it is. Especially if you’re the only guitarist. There’s more room for your style to grow into the music and your shows. And Plus it’s the homie from TDE his style alone is fine for what Emmure wants to do which is being heavy and disorientating.

@@dylanedwards2056 Actually bands make a bit more with streaming statistically due to availability and a % per plays/subscribers because the CD format is almost dead but in rare cases like youtube, spotify etc. Tho I also agree that its nowhere near as it should and those companies make way more than give. It's just too expensive to have more people in the band, hence backing tracks. If it was a choice, I can bet you that anyone would choose an orchestra rather than a track.
