I had my heart set on her singing "When She loved me" from Toy Story 2. I cry every time I hear it and I feel like it was made for her. As a fellow shy, artsy Tennessee girl, I wish Emmy the best and am excited to see what she does next! FYI...these are real life human people that have actual emotions. If you wouldn't say a comment to someone's face...don't type it. You don't have to like something, but you can still have enough respect for someone to say "not for me" ,or "Has some more growing to do" without trying to break people's spirit. Speak Life, people :)

I'm so tired of so-called Christians saying that. It's wrong and irresponsible. Read 1 Thessalonians 4: 16, 17. No one other than Moses and Elijah is in heaven. For Christ's sake, educate yourself.

Beautiful young lady. I can tell this isn't the route for her. She doesn't seem to want it badly enough--and that is quite okay--she has received recognition and I think she will go far--the WAY SHE WANTS to go forward! Sometimes I hate to see these talented, beautiful young people who are sacrificed to Hollywood and the evils that lie there--and in the song industry. Many are just too strong in their own skin to want to go that way. ( ie.I think Arthur Gunn was like this) Stay strong Emmy--because you are--just in a different way!

I have so enjoyed watching Emmy throughout this AI season. When you think of what the show is, and originally supposed to be about she definitely fits the mark. At the starting point, Emmy is a young women with her own special talent who came into the competition to show her abilities and to learn and grow as a singer, performer, and a person in the world of entertainment. Too often we are now seeing young, polished contestants who are coming to the show after years of preparing as a young child with professional lessons and such as if they were grown adults singing professionally for decades. I thought AI was suppose to be a competition for discovery of a raw talent to possibly super stardom. I felt this year exemplified this more than usual with several contestants and Emmy fit this description by these standards. Wasn’t it something to see in a young woman like Emmy trying to find her own name, way, her own place in the music industry and by all accounts not relying on her beloved and superstar country queen Memaw, Loretta Lynn? She would have been the proudest of Emmy for going her own way. Whatever anyone thinks about Emmy, she was the one AI who grew the most from where she started and with a renewed belief in herself and she sang and performed with such humility, courage, and a kindness that maybe is what we need to see in our younger generations of not just performers, but human beings. I’d like to think Simon would have said something like this if he were still a judge. Still, I know he wanted the stellar voice to go with it all. Emmy certainly has her own sound and that’s what works in today’s industry. It’s not just the voice AI is looking to find, but that star quality in a performer and person and I think Emmy uniquely and on her own terms radiates this completely✨. Best of luck, 🍀 Emmy!!! Your fans out here love you and we look forward to your new music forthcoming!!! 💕🤗💫

AMERICAN IDOL WINNER PAYOFF - OLD TO NEW - KELLY CLARKSON WAS THE FIRST. Clarkson has been cleaning up since her first starring role on a television show: She won $1 million (plus a record deal) when she took the top spot on American Idol. American Idol: What does the winner get? TODAY Outside of exposure, the winners of American Idol receive a pretty penny and a record contract with Hollywood Records. They first receive $125,000, and then an additional $100,000 after they complete an entire album for a total of $250,000, according to Newsweek. The Idol winners also "have a budget of as much as $300,000 to record that album, which is given as an advance that they will have to pay back against future earnings," according to the outlet. While this might seem like a lot of money, the prize money is substantially lower now than in previous years.

There is no way she has been judged under the same scrutiny as other contestants by the judges. Lionel always says something about how he always forgets stuff or is nervous performing, trying to play down her lack of skills as a performer, Katy always has cringe looks on her face during the actual performances, then talks to her afterwards like she is talking to a 10yr old kid, and Luke cant add much given his voice is pretty average too tbh. It's an absolute rort that a lot of them went home before her. Producers rigged this up 100%.

Emmy did so awesome with this song. It really does reflect her journey on American Idol and she sounds almost like Miley Cyrus singing this song. Sad to hear she got elemenated in this round.😥 Hope some Nashville record label recognizes her talent being the great granddaughter of Loretta Lynn and offers her a record deal after all she has been through.

See her stuff she sang when on tour with Loretta Lynn was great but if she takes idol with these performances I will be disappointed because they aren’t it for me… I saw she’s done better she needs to go home and find the sound she lost because I think after Loretta Lynn passed she lost confidence in herself. Like I said I’ve seen videos where she was 100% authentically Hershel in things she wrote but this girl needs to find that spark she had with her meemaw.
