Holy crap, I remember see her performing on the street, with her keyboard, guitar, and an iPad, at the Palm Spring Street festival. I've watched so many seasons of so many shows, and I've never before seen an artist grow *without* changing who they are and what they bring to the music. I didn't see what the judges saw during her audition. I could tell it was a good audition, but I had no clue about all of what was behind it, the depth the judges saw so clearly. To see her arc as she went through the competition, then to hear her sing her audition song again after winning, brought it full circle for me. Wow. So THAT is what a true artist sounds like. Wow. I haven't touched my ukulele in over a year, and I haven't warmed up my voice for even longer. Just grabbed ukulele and tuned it. Let's see what inspiration feels like, once again.
