This is a Ladino song taken over into Hebrew and its Mizahi origins are unmistakable. It plays off against the ideal of Middle Eastern beauty, the irony of which is heavily felt in these Israeli singers. Ofra is more mono-tonal with less variety of colour. Esther is extremely rich and varied in tone, and I would say more musical, phrases are more sustained. But both are extremely beautiful.
