Just because an artist sings someone elses song does not mean they are obligated to sound the exact same as them, the event is held to pay tribute to Trisha & to honour her, the artists who are asked to perform in her honour are not there to please the ignorant, i wish people would just move on instead of writing clueless silly comments, stop being so critical, stop scrutinising everything, stop picking everything apart, the artists are asked to perform duets & solo performances by the producers of the event & also by the artist they are honouring, so ffs get your facts straight.

Lauren Alaina isn’t the vocalist to be keeping up with Emmylou Harris nor should she be trying to cover Trisha, not because she is a bad singer, but she has a different style with a lot of syllables with every single word. However, you can see her genuine emotion and appreciation for Emmy and obviously Trisha. She knows what a special moment this is and Trisha has really taken Lauren under her wing.
