There’s a spiritual quality to her voice, that’s almost heartbreaking in its beauty and simplicity. Whenever an authentic country musician, like her, is singing about God, or about earthly love, you hear that longing for something higher and deeper. You don't think about what you're doing, when you're doing it. I've been playing professionally since I was 15. I played big band music with three Master musicians and I paid attention, learned my theory. As for people we played with, doesn't mean much, you just do what you do. I can't explain it any better than that. I am a hard rock and prog lead guitar player, but she blows me away. And how about Albert Lee on guitar, and DeVito on the steel. That is some greatness, right there. They are really good, as was the whole band. Enjoy your evening. 😎

This song should be broadcast before and after (preferably replace) all news programmes. Can you imagine the non-relevance and deflation of the bullshit that's being pumped into our homes, if the real spirit of humanity and it's potential, sandwiched the crap at either end. I often think, what a world of shit we live in due to the non-creative garbage running our lives and institutions, raping, pillaging, and murdering (I bet you know who I'm talking about) for the sake of a few more tons of cash. And then I hear this and the shit seems to disappear. Spread the word. Stop believing the non-creative garbage, whose mission is to pacify, commodify and control each and every one of us through fear and repression. Turn off the news and stop buying newspapers (not you SaharaForce).....you sound like you're on the case. Regards
@SaharaForce10 жыл бұрын
Ian Davis Yes I'm on the case, thanks Ian! I have no tv and radio and seldom read newspapers and if I do, I have a reason for it, other than the masses. Nevertheless, human creation is superb, I repeat, this lady shows it and is it. Best regards !

“There are only two kinds of men…those who are in love with Emmylou and those who have never met her.” Willie Nelson Song starts at 0:55 ENGLISH LYRICS BELOW: I heard the train In the Tulsa night Calling out my name Looking for a fight Well she's come a long, long way Got a longer way to go Tell me how a train from Tulsa Has got a right to know Well she sings a song So sad and high And the Tulsa Queen Don't ever lie And she don't care where she goes Don't care where she's been And the Tulsa Queen ain't crying Cause I won't see you again And I want to ride Like a Tulsa Queen Calling out to you Like she calls to me As far away from Tulsa As these ten wheels can be Lately I speak Your name too loud Each time it comes up In a crowd And I know it when I do The Tulsa Queen and you Are gone ...

Countrygirl country musiclover, the contrarian of the country world. Come on Countrygirl! We are talking about tastes, they are incredibly subjective, hence the name. However - in an attempt to raise your bet - I will have to say that on the contrary, I most definitely find Emymlou to be not only a more beautiful than Dolly in a appearance...but she also possesses a more beautiful voice. To top that off, I would have to say that she is a better songwriter as well. Not to hate on Dolly, I like her. But I love Emmylou!

Most of your greatest music came out of the seventies and eighties.But alot of it was Dark and Diabolical too. The 60s 70s and 80s was the beginning of the end of the country. It seems impossible that this country it's a little over 200 years old and its about to collapse.

Alot of people just don't like country for some kind of "stigma" reasons. I've found that most people really don't have their own taste in music, but follow a crowd - whatever that crowd likes, they "like". Or whatever is currently popular. And when certain music goes "out of style" they no longer listen, as if age and vogue have something to do with the enjoyment of music. They have to move with the times, rather than their own sense of what is good. When I hear comments like "oh that sounds so 'dated' " I know they have no tastes of their own.
