I love her so much. She's one that when you hear her sing. You don't have to look to see who she is. At one time she had Rodney Crowell and Vince Gill in her band

Hey Ron, I have seen several Emmylou Harris songs reacted to before. However, no one seems to have reacted yet at all to "Beneath Still Waters" as far as I can tell. This was a Number 1 single in both the US and Canada in 1980. It is one of the greatest Country Music Heartbreak songs ever recorded in my opinion. Hauntingly beautiful, yet terribly sad. There aren't really allot of lyrics in the song, but those that are there are just so impactful. I swear if you have not heard that song before, it will leave you breathless.

If you want something deeper from Emmylou, try "Boulder to Birmingham", written by her about her mentor, Gram Parsons, who had passed away suddenly. Simply a beautiful song, and covered by many.

Since you asked for another Emylou song, 'Boulder to Birmingham' was a tribute to Gram Parsons after his death. She also had a late career tribute to him called 'The Road' which makes me cry every time. Like those wine bottles she truly gets better with age

I grew up with bluegrass and pre-2000s country. Emmylou Harris was my first idol already from my kindergarten years. I used to play this song on loop before I was old enough to understand the lyrics.

Delbert McClinton wrote this song and its autobiographical. I like Emmylou's version, however I prefer Martina McBride's cover of this tune. 🙂 on a side note you may want to give some of Delberts music a listen, especially a song he did with Tanya Tucker called "tell me about it" :-)

This is a Delbert song and you NEED to do more Delbert. He is an amazing songwriter that also showed John Lennon how to play the harmonica.

I love your videos! I was wondering if you could do a reaction to Brooks and Dunn Believe song. I know they are more of a mainstream band but this song is pretty special. Keep up the great work!

Great one! Check out Trey Hensley" Bare Wire" He's an outstanding traditional country/bluegrass singer/songwriter and one hell of a picker. Its just a fun experience watching/listening to him. No doubt you'll hear him once and you'll be hooked and glad you did. God Bless
