Jean Smart is better than ever for season 3 - totally deserves the win. Every category where Hacks won over The Bear is truely well deserved; at the very least, Hacks is a true comedy.

Shogun winning was deserved and awesome. Admittedly, I don’t watch much “regular” TV, but it’s one of the best TV shows I’ve seen in a long time. I’ve got it as my number 2 show out of 28 for my 2024 TV list so far (but with Bleach and DanDaDan just around the corner, it may bump down to a number 4 spot 😅). Either way this years been good for TV and Shogun is a reason for that 🔥

Listen, I was really upset at the fact that Cosmo Jarvis was snubbed for Shogun, but if either Anna Sawai or Hiroyuki Sanada didn’t win their award I probably would’ve committed a Crimson Sky of my own for those who get the reference. Thankfully, we didn’t get that and they won.😅

Austin, you are sleeping on Hacks! It is so great. Jean Smart is incredible in it, but so is Hannah Einbender (who unfortunately never seems to get any love). I think you would have such a good time with it! I'm happy to see them spread the love around a little bit more (as much as I LOVE The Bear 😉)

I LOVE Ayo but i feel like she didn’t get much screen time season 2 like the first one! .. I’ve watched all the nominated comedy shows and can confirm, Jean Smart crushed it!!! Phenomenal performance!

I'm just happy Slow Horses won writing, show literally went from no Emmy love for its first two seasons to winning writing for season 3. Hopefully season 4 will do well

Slow Horses is amazing, I'm also relieved to know that it finally won something huge at the Emmys. Hopefully, this Emmy win could encourage people to use Apple TV to watch the show. Slow Horses might be the fastest series making I've seen in recent days. Each seasons are so good that you don't have to wait 2 or 3 years for the next one. Season 4 is currently running and they just started production for season 5 which is great

Jonathan Bailey was robbed he was absolutely phenomenal in Fellow Travelers the fact that he lost to some rando is just so wrong but it absolutely makes sense why that guy won given how modern Hollywood works

Definitely watch Slow Horses! It’s fantastic. I think the best comedy not going to the bear reflects most people think it should be in drama and so even though they acknowledged the great acting, they gave the big comedy award to more of a true comedy show. Was sad for Jonathan Bailey as his performance is one of the best I’ve seen in ages, but I didn’t see Fargo so can’t say if the winner was more deserving.

Jean Smart was the favourite going into the night she had already won for the first two seasons. I love that Hacks won it was the best comedy of the year. The Bear should be nowhere near the comedy categories because it is a drama. I never understood how someone can watch The Bear and call it a comedy. I think the fact The Bear had won all those Emmys back in January might have put a wrinkle in people wanting to give it another Best Comedy award only months apart, I think people felt like people may have wanted to give Comedy Series award to an actual comedy that deserves to be recognized not a drama disguised as a comedy. Hacks was truly worthy of its wins last night.

I'm so surprised that more people weren't predicting Jean Smart. It's an HBO/Max show and she won for the first 2 seasons (even against Quinta). I can totally see her pulling a Julia Louis Dreyfrus if the show stays good. I'm guessing people online were overlooking her because they weren't very familiar with the show (or her?). In terms of show, I was predicting 'The Bear' since season 2 was so fantastic but something in the back of my head was telling me to look out for 'Hacks'. Season 1 of that show also seemed like a bit of a threat to 'Ted Lasso' season 1 during that award season.

Yes! 1000% resume watching The Morning Show. Jennifer Anniston gets SO much better. I hate her in parts, love her in others, and then feel so sorry for her. Steve Carrell is phenomenal. Jon Hamm was so, so impressive in season 3. And Billy Crudup is the best part of the show. He plays such a complex character. Watching his face feels like we're in a acting master class. I cannot recommend it enough.

Hacks is good. dipped in Season 2 but 3? yeah. deserved. why still confused why The Bear is in the Comedy category. is it because of the runtime? also, shout out to The Gilded Age. Hacks is only good because of Jean Smart, she's phenomenal. As for the rest of it, it is woke as they come. The young actress is totally underwhelming, the writing not always on point. But Jean, again, is outstanding.
