I imagine this is so the advice feels more digestible and also maybe to mitigate the person seeing a very specific mistake being called out and going "It was only because _excuse_" and ignoring the larger issues

I think blitzkriegx on twitch at around 10:30 had similar idea to mine (and this has thus worked for me until mid diamond) "I think its good to peel for your team, but if Doom just jumps past you think of it as High fiving you to go into their backline while he for goes for yours"

The last 30 seconds of the vod is a huge learning opportunity like you stated. It was really disheartening to watch him tunnel-vision on the Doom when he could have helped his Sojourn secure the pick on Hanzo before Moira and Genji got back. This definitely could have been a win but it was the huge target priority flaw at the end that sealed the deal. Great video

17:35. If you notice, every time You turn around to help your backline as hog, (which hog isn’t a peel character) they have pushed the cart REALLY far, every single time, you turn around. Mainly because of you turning around to try and help against a doom or genji one in 1v4 setting, they push in and your team dies for it. Simply because you don’t stay forward, they have pushed the cart as far as they have. Gotta have a little more faith in your healers and dps to take a 1v4 while you can out pressure on their healers and stop them from getting heals on their back lining genji/doom

hey, this was me. i can confirm me and the genji were having some fun during the game. they were saying silly thing mid-game and id reply back. with some of my team also flaming me it was a range of things. a misplay on my part

Tanks like this are the reason we need 6v6. In OW1 at least one tank would wander past the choke on accident, now it’s on DPS to kill 5 just to get our pacifist kaiju to walk point.

That's.... that's precisely what they SHOULD do. Off-tanking was the biggest reason chokes only existed on certain maps. One tank peels to reduce pressure the other covers the team. As a Roadhog main i was untouchable until someone went Ana 😂

I’ve noticed the same things Emongg has. 1.) Hooks: A lot of the time it seems this hog Hail Marys their hooks, as in, just presses the button hoping for the best. Take time to actually attempt to aim the hook to guarantee more hook hits. 2.) No space made: Emongg has already mentioned it, but the hog backs up wayyy too much. You allow them to completely push the cart all the way without pressuring their backline. Of course, there is a balance between straight feeding yourself in the backline & actually attempting to make space (that comes with time) but standing at the choke for a long time even when a pick is made & backing up constantly doesn’t rlly help. 3.) Target priority: There are certain picks that will be more valuable than others, and there are times certain targets are ignored for someone like Doom, which didn’t help the team fight in the end. All in all, not the worst Hog in the world. But I can tell you, you definitely weren’t a threat enough to cause an entire counter swap. Of course you don’t base your value off of the enemy counter swap (especially in lower ranks when they don’t always know the best counter), but in a way I mean- if they can simply push past you or not see you as a threat at all (which I could tell the enemy didn’t) then it’s probably best to switch something up.

It depends on the situation like if the fights over n u have ur ult n are on low health then it would be better to let your supports heal you. If your saying to engage with 250hp while vaping that is not ideal as even though u get damage reduction if the entire enemy team is looking at u it ain't going to do crap. Best thing to do is engage with full vape on full health n use it as u get low or disengaging or tanking abilities. Low depends on the situation though like if your 400hp n it's just u vs their tank keep shooting where as if there's 3 looking at u, u prolly should heal n get out. The examples I am providing is ignoring the supports u will have like if u feel u can trust them then keep shooting but if u can't then be safe n heal.

Huffing farts gives dmg reduction on everything except sigma ult so sometimes it's not about healing. It's better to huff early and stay high then drop low and get naded in the ass. Generally because it recharges over time. Every time you go round a corner to reload. Taking a quick huff as you reposition is enough to top off your health, reduce dmg from counter pushing, and prevent you from getting rushed. But anytime you feel you need it give it a huff you'll be right

Does hook work against all characters, or only against Doom and Genji? Not sure after watching this one. I’m assuming it at least doesn’t work against supports or Hanzo, otherwise they would have tried to hook them occasionally.

3:14 in. Roadhog is not the pick against their comp. Rein, ana, genji. Are all hard counters to hog. unless you are like damn near 100% accurate with your hooks. You are just an ult farm at that point, especially for the back line ana with how fat of a target hog is.
