I love the difference in approach for commentary between emongg and flats spectating bronze. Flats is the direct "you have the mechanical ability of an [insert fruit/vegetable here]" vs emongg's encouragement that also clearly calls out what they're doing wrong.

I think I ran into this tank in QP last night as Orisa. They ended up losing and going 0-8. Never played cover, didn't stick with the team, just W'd into my team and died.

Sometimes I get on a swapping spree too. I usually go Hanzo, then when I miss many shots I go Cassidy, then when I get diffed by the enemy cass I go Echo, then when I get flamed from not killing everyone I switch to Bastion, and when they say dps diff I go Torbjörn, and then they finally tell me to go Soldier The bronze experience

Honestly my tip for you is to practice 1 or 2 heroes for instance Ashe and Cassidy if you feel your aim is good enough. There are plenty of workshop codes to help improve your aim or warm-up your aim as well. Like phara aim trainer (your shooting at a flying phara on Dorado, you can have the phara have a mercy pocket or just increased hp, you can turn on if you want a mercy pocket yourself or the phara to shoot at you). With Ashe just sit on a highground and try to farm bob as fast as possible (bob is really strong if you throw him when a team fight has already started or to contest a objective, just make sure if you want him to do damage that ana has no sleepdart)

Pick 2-3 heroes that you want to play and get good at them. You won't get good at a character when you keep switching

@@awarepillow1180 yeah I agree. Personally I chose Ashe and Cassidy because they are similar and the range difference allows for different playstyles. Also Torb is great for defense and maps like Hollywood because of the many different angles the turret can get value from via crossfires and it being well protected.

That Hammond gameplay was a bit rough to watch, but instead of roasting I'll share some advices that might be useful for you, coming from a ball enthusiast. -Piledrive is your most powerful tool, you don't need very high height to actually use it. Bind it to the wheel button in your mouse and keep it pressed, it will automatically activate as soon as you get enough height. Standing on the payload and jumping grants enough height to activate it. -You have 2 modes: Ball mode and Crab mode. Crab is where you shoot and ball is where you roll. If you get caught by a Roadhog ult go to your ball mode, because in ball mode you hide your head and you don't take critical damage. -If you want vertical mobility GRAB from any elevated zone and HOLD the grapple until you get your desired height. If you want horizontal mobility you can just GRAB from anything on your front side and DROP the grapple much sooner. I don't advice grappling from anything right in front of you because you will probably bounce on that if you don't jump on time. Also test what you can and can't hook to, there are more things that you would belive that work as grappling spots.

i’d say for this guy he is always out of cover or “position” when he has no resources. he needs to stay near an “L” shaped corner when he runs out of resources like abilities, ultimates, ammo, health, teammates, etc.

there are many times he uses his ability for no reason, and then he pushes into the team while having no abilities. the less “resources” u have, the weaker u are, the more u have, the stronger you are.

The good thing about those problems is that the player can get significantly better if they incorporate those things. Not unfixable/insurmountable problems. The other thing is a good tank knows how to “take breaths.” Backing off so your supports can reload/top others off, replenish cooldowns. Tanks need awareness of their supports too.

Recommendations for new Bingo options: Moira Ult Duel Sniper tank Tank doesn’t leave objective defensive/support Ability Used Before Fight (Ball shield, Zarya bubble, Gengi deflect, sleep/nade, Soldier pad) Dies 3 times without a kill I’ll leave it to you to shorten these up 😂 Would love to see fewer squares that are just a character.

Can we all try to be a little more respectful and appreciative about the person who submitted this replay code? It clearly wasn't one of his best games and I see allot of negativity in the comments. Rather thank the person for submitting this replay so we could watch it. I can tell you this, I was probably way worse when I learned the heroes I play now and this might be the worst map for a tank against that comp if you don't play sigma or know how to use physical cover correctly. I think this person has a general idea of the abilities of each hero but he just hasn't played them long enough to understand how to play each hero properly. For instance the zarya beam length and not right-clicking. I believe with the tips emongg provided he can improve allot. As I said earlier this is just one of the worst maps and teamcomps to go up against as a tank when you don't have the understanding yet of physical cover and when to back out because you used all of your abilities. Also purely for this map alone I would learn Sigma if you can't play him yet (If you are a tank player).

Watching this gave me a good idea. What if there was a role queue mystery heroes, where you're always locked into a 1/2/2 lineup but random heroes in that role per life. I would totally play that gamemode! It takes away from the frustration of not having a support and is a bit more consistent but still mystery heroes ish. Also, seeing this guy play Zarya frustrated me. Im a bronze tank player and I still cringed at their positioning and cooldown usage
