So, how they actually sent him gifts was through the LINE app. For anyone who doesn't know what that is, it's essentially the main form of casual communication in Japan. I think the west generally sticks to their phone's messaging service, but Japan tends to use LINE. You might recognize it from various vtubers making stickers for LINE for people to use. Anyway, you can also use LINE's gift service to actually buy gifts for people and have it delivered. Even perishables apparently. lol 4:56 - Hometown Tax Donation Program or Furusato Nouzei(ふるさと納税) is a program to allow Japanese people to financially assist their hometown or even just areas of their choice. It's considered a tax, so depending on the amount they "donate" they receive a tax refund in the form of goods or foods that are unique to that area. Roberu is a creepy otaku, so he donated to his favorite voice actress' hometown and asked to receive ice cream. ~Additional context~ Oga asked Roberu why he only got ice cream when there are other things that could be kept cold like beef, etc. Roberu explained that he can't cook so he only got ice cream. 5:21 - I looked up the gifts you could receive from the ふるさと納税 site and the ice cream seemed to be those small Haagendazs sized tubs. Not absurd, but 60 of those is still a lot. And considering what we know of Roberu's diet... A lot of it might be ice cream... Lol 7:31 - Ice cream spoon. I imagine a lot of people's image of this was that thicc ice cream scoop. Literally he said, "I bought a spoon that has an easier time scooping ice cream" and I believe he was referring to a specific ice cream spoon of Japanese design that's completely aluminum and extremely conductive. It transfers your body heat from handle to the scoop to allow for easier scooping. 8:12 - Left out some additional context. Roberu isn't in love with the idea of doing camera streams.

Seriously, 36 tubs of Ice-cream is freaking INSANE. If I were ever to be in such a ridiculous situation, I have the luck of having a pretty big family to share and give away. Though if I was too far off from where everyone lives, I'm screwed. Either have to throw it out, or invest in a new fridge.

Ah, you just reminded me I wanted to clarify in my pinned comment that he was probably talking about those small Haagendazs or Ben and Jerry sized tubs. 60 of those is still a ton of ice cream though.

@@statskytl TBH I was thinking of those, and yup, 36 is still a ridiculous amount of Ice cream to own. Good lord I would seriously panik if someone came up to my door with 12 large tubs of ice cream, and tell me there's another 24 coming in a few days.
