Oh my sweet girl. I got diagnosed a month ago and going through the motions one day at a time. Never in my life I had experience so much anxiety but I have to keep reminding myself that I'm strong and that sadly there are many women in the world going through this. Now I see you and your journey. You , your mom are such an inspiration. You have such a beautiful smile, Never stop smiling. Sending prayers for you , your mom and your beautiful family. 🙏💝

I am starting my chemo for the second time as well in a few weeks after 26 years (26 & now 53). Had a double mastectomy with reconstruction this time and your videos are very helpful even with having been there myself. I didn’t lose my hair the first time but it appears I will this time. I am trying to embrace it as we are all beautiful. Thank you for posting videos; they are appreciated.

Thank you for sharing this with us, Marina. I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer in 2021. Radical hysterectomy BSO and 5 weeks of radiation. Got diagnosed with endometrial metastasis in my low back this year (2023) in April. I cried for 3 days, then decided I was done with that. Underwent 2 weeks of radiation for pain control and right after started chemo, Taxol/Carboplatin. Have had 6 infusions so far, and this week "off" due to low wbc count. I'm in great spirits, though, and so grateful for your videos, which help a lot! Onward & upward! 🙂🙏💪

Did they say why did it come back? I am going through the same thing but first time
@MarinaBlackford
@MarinaBlackford 3 жыл бұрын
They did not say. It’s not common to have reoccurrence. I had a 95% chance of it not coming back. I did have a tumor in the same area before but we could not find anything visible on my ultrasound after chemo the first time I had cancer. There possibly was some cancer cells there still after surgery. We will do radiation this time after chemo to be sure there are no cancer cells left. Good luck to you! 🙏🏼❤️

Did you have lumpectomy or masectomy? What type of cancer? What stage? Your videos help me a lot. I'm Lobular stage 1 triple positive. Had lumpectomy with bilateral lift. At MD Anderson Houston. Im doing my 6th treatment tomorrow. Taxol/ Herceptin. Radiation to follow. I worry about it coming back. Im 70 years old. Can't imagine how hard it is to deal with at your age with young children. You are beautiful and inspiring!!
@MarinaBlackford
@MarinaBlackford 3 жыл бұрын
Double Mastectomy the first time and lumpectomy after on the skin of reconstruction. And I’ll have another lumpectomy again. That’s hard to understand but you can find lumps on skin or auxiliary breast tissue near the ribs like me. I’ve been stage 2 each time. I try not to worry about it coming back. I do pay attention to my body though. Thank you! I hope you are all healed soon!

@@MarinaBlackford Hi Marina. I was diagnosed with Stage 1 IDC at the end of February this year and had a Lumpectomy about a month ago. A day after my surgery I found out I was BRAC1+ and my Oncotype DX score is 45 so I have to do Chemo in May for four months. After the Chemo I plan on getting Mastectomy done with Reconstruction then remove my Ovaries and Fallopian Tubes. I really appreciate you talking about your personal experience here and I'm getting so much tips and helpful information from you. So thank you and thank you. It's little shocking to learn that you had recurrence even after Mastectomy. How long after your first diagnosis did it come back? How did you find out?
