You did great. You never want to overdo it because some dogs will just think that they should've killed it instead of letting it go. She didn't know if it was a threat or friend. She did great. Kora and Luski are some of the best dogs livestock guardian dogs that I've seen on all of the homesteading channels that I watch. I love Rachel, and you alot, your more like one of my friends than anyone else on KZbin.

Don't blame you for getting rid of the mean duck. No reason to keep any bullies on the farm. Also happy the dogs weren't missing! They were so comfortable laying in the shade they weren't going to move. Leesky sure has a mouthful of beautiful white teeth! Bet they could do some damage on a predator? I noticed on the News how hot it is in Oklahoma. It's brutal hot.

I was watching an IG video where all the chickens were following the lady because she is the who feeds them. I thought of how the chickens follow Kevin around. Kora’s body language showed she knew Kevin meant business.

One year during a massive heat wave that hit my state, my dog went missing. We didn't have a fence, he was tied up. Somehow he got loose and we finally found him. He was under our bushes on the side of our house. He had dug a hole and was laying in the cool dirt. He was just very hot and he just made himself at home under the bushes. So we moved the dog house, and put it near the bushes. He was happy and barking away! Food and lots of water which we changed for him throughout the day, cause water gets slimy in the water pan and hot (even in the shade). Your dogs are hot and it's going to be over 100 degrees. Of course they will look for a spot with SHADE and dig into the ground because the dirt is cool! That's where the worms are, deep into the ground cause if they come up, they'll roast! You and the Mrs. be careful out there doing your chores! Don't worry about the doggies, they know where to find shade. Just make sure they have clean water! Great job!!!!

If your worried about loosing your dogs, maybe attach an air tag to their collar. That way you can always track them when you get worried.

Kevin, I can understand the worry you went through when you couldn't find Leeske and Kora. I am so glad that they were found still on the property and just cooling off under the old fort. I think you did just right with Kora and the chicken. You had a stern tone in your voice; she heard you, realized she did wrong, and released the chicken. I agree, you should not have praised her after that, because she probably would think you were praising her for capturing the chicken and not because she released it. I recognized the duckweed growing on your pond. With the addition of the waterlilies, you have a healthy pond, and less likely to get algae growing on the pond, especially in this heat. Too bad your ducks and geese can't enjoy the duckweed on the pond because of Leesky and Kora (unless you harvest some and bring it to them in the other pasture), but at least some wild ducks enjoyed it for a time.
