This has got to be the comeback of the century! Abba is back with two songs. And this is my second reaction to ABBAs other new release Don't Shut Me Down. After 40 years of absence from the scene they return. I actually enjoyed Don't Shut me Down even more. Watch my reaction to this brilliant Lyric video version of ABBA Don't Shut Me Down. The big global news of this 21st century for the music world is the return of the legendary Swedish pop group ABBA to the recording studios after more than 35 years (the last was "The day before you came") and the edition of his new songs after 39 years (the last was "Under attack") and a new album after almost 40 years (the last was "The Visitors") Beyond that these three data are for the Guines Book of records (I believe that No Group or Singer or Artist can come close to these incredible brands), the most remarkable thing is How they returned, with what level of quality And I must say that ABBA overcame all fears, doubts and expectations Their return is shocking and his quality is still valid "Don't shut me down" it's another surprise from ABBA A pop song was expected, but there were reservations and fears for what it could be (and here I include doubts to the voices of the girls due to their age) And we find a magnificent work The beginning is with Agnetha's voice attacking with the pleasant company of the piano. What Agnetha does in that introduction is anthology, exquisite modulating and using different nuances with her mature voice. Until Benny's signature piano glint (nod to the mega hit "Dancing Queen") and ABBA's typical pop song is with us, with the fans, because the lyrics speak to us. and Agnetha assumes that decoding of almost four decades and gives us her beautiful voice as the strings grow and lead to a memorable chorus with Frida reliving the historic third voice of ABBA But it doesn't end there, the second part adds hooks and a xylophone is added to the bells (a nod to the marimba in "Mamma Mía"), and the pre-chorus has more force with Agnetha and Frida and the violins anticipate the elevation to a chorus triumphant final anthology reminiscent of his greatest hits And it ends with a soft and sweet Agnetha voice and piano melody (as the begin, a double nod to "Thank you for the music") Thank for your great reaction and for Your respect to ABBA music now we are waiting for the new album and see in next ABBA vídeo GOD bless You

Everytime I hear this song I hear pure ABBA perfection .In my mind I imagine 1982 and ABBA are quietly put away in a box and 39 years later the PANDORA BOX is opened and the ABBA ANGELS are released and the music and voices exactly the same as if no time has passed grab you and take flight into the heavens to fly with them in joy and ecstacy .I still have tears in my eyes while listening to their new music even though it's been 7 weeks already since I first heard these songs.

It’s like a biography of Agnetha getting over her woes and getting back together, she’s found a way to cope and has the fire to do it, just don’t shut them down. I was never a big ABBA fan the first time around, but these first two singles are both more than great. Especially this one. (The Grammys nominated the wrong song, or should have nominated both.) They stayed in their style, but these melodies, lyrics and production take it all up a notch. And they sound incredible singing in their '70s. What a joy to listen to the great ABBA sound again. It brings back so many wonderful memories to some of their great songs: like the little piano-riff at the start of the chorus (from 'Dancing Queen') and the rythm and same type of lyrics (from 'The Day Before You Came'). Really loving your sharing and discussion, and wow, how do i explain this? i'd been a pro pianist since the late '70s, and during the course of playing clubs, etc., i began writing and arranging, programming sequencers and drum machines, and i have to say that after all these years, having ABBA come back is one of the most deliciously sweet and poignant feelings i've ever felt, awash in the sheer joy of them! i'm not saying this is anything like "The Second Coming", but to this musician, having their exquisite brand of heart and talent return, especially after so much turmoil and pain these last 4-5 years, is like a priceless balm!

This is new, but so much classic ABBA. The piano run is classic from Benny, and like always, Agnetha is superb! Updated sound, but classic. Now and then combined. When Agnetha and Annifrid sing in unison, they almost sound as one person. Beautiful! This song brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it.

I like to think the lyrics reflect their emotional as well as physical maturity- but it kind of has a double meaning which is like their re-birth as “ABBA-tars”…. you may be thinking the piano sound is called a sweep. it is so reminiscent of dancing queen. i have probably listen to this song 100 times now and i never tire of it. it is such a joyous track and i think has double meanings. could be a relationship between 2 people and also with the groups. fans/ i took it to refer to the latter. accept us now because we are not the same as before but we are now and then combined, im not the same this time around.. well it doesnt matter to any of us that you are not the ABBA of old exactly although songs like this sound like they used to. we will accept them no matter what. much like the line in still have faith.. do i have it in me. you certainly do ABBA. if you like remixes there are plenty of them posted best is dj STORM 's mixes. he is brilliant. heads up just a notion comes out tomorrow so do a reaction to this new recording originally done back in 1978, .thanks
