The Blink-182 drummer announced the new wellness experience on Instagram, which will allow fans to join him on his runs and provide a "360-degree experience of health, wellness and mindful exploration" with fitness classes and mindfulness workshops. He explained that he was inspired to start the initiative after he was involved in a 2008 plane crash that left him with burns on 70 percent of his body. "Doctors told me I may never walk the same way or play the drums again," he said. "I've never been an athlete or played sports, but I quickly wanted to prove everyone wrong, including myself." The drummer started his inspirational journey with short walks, and then began doing short runs every day, telling fans, "I got this mild dopamine feel every time I ran." I've been supporting this for years and always start my day with it. I even run 3 miles every day before shows when I'm on tour."
His love of running deepened last year when he ran his first half marathon and took part in several 5K races: “I loved how people from all walks of life ran together and supported each other. The running community is huge, and that's what inspired me to create Travis Run as a way to bring like-minded people together."
He captioned the post, "I want to encourage people to get outside and walk or run for a few hours, make healthy decisions, and develop healthy habits."
Kourtney shared Travis's emotional statement on her story, writing, "You're such an inspiration @travisbarker" with a heart emoji, showing her love and support for her husband.
This is the first time Kourtney has supported Travis's growth since Travis's shocking plane crash in 2008, and the drummer flew with her for the first time in August 2021 after not flying for 13 years. "With you, anything is possible," he captioned a photo of the two of them boarding a plane.
