Cyndi Joseph, Mr. Peterson got my full attention as well when he was emotionally touched remembering the interaction of one of his guests. I personally can’t express how much of his inner self he lay open for all the world. And what a marvelous inner self he has! I have read and watched endless “professionals”, as they did their best to help people try to understand their place in the world, but he is different. I am so glad he came out for all the world to get a chance to grow!

Treating myself like I matter and naming the things which bring me discomfort; in relation to others and to myself. I've had experiences in my life that have left me feeling like I did not matter at all to the people and situations involved, for no discernible reason to myself, and they've really left me with crippled self-esteem. Jordan's eyes look like he has seen outside and inside of himself the depths of sadness and depression and then felt the need of commanding respect in life. Everyone is (maybe) afraid to go through these phases to come out as a winner (in your own terms). But once you know how to get in and out of that space(your shadow/depths), you are the master of your own life. That's what Jordan ( and many other influential people) 'look' like.

Hello Evan Point number 10 means so much at this precise time. I am doing some inner child work at present and I am consumed with negative forces that affected and still affects me. But what I learned is that I am putting words to it, words to my suffering. So although I am engulfing myself back in the fog and it is all consuming, putting words to it means that I can see it for what it is. So I am now stronger in my belief that this work is necessary so that I can label and see it clearly and then this time to not dismiss it. I slowly able to honour my inner child and move forward and laugh and cry together with my smaller inner self. Thank you Mr Peterson and Evan

JP is the most influential person when it comes to maximizing my current and future self. He teaches we must test the things he discusses and find holes in it. Where I might disagree with JP is happiness can be achieved by all but it must be birth from joy. If you find what you believe gives you joy and meaning, test it. If it fails then it was not true joy. When the world folds on you, that joy remains. When your heart is thrown in a blender, true joy remains. When good things happen, the joy remains the same but you have an emotional confirmation when you feel happy. Is happiness being content in all things! Joy last forever! My joy is found in the Son of God and that passes all my test.

thebethlee, Thank you, it's a work in progress. Even though I speak it to myself I need to feel it and I think that's where the problem is.

I have learned so much wisdom listening to him even for just an hour than my 4 years in college. His wisdom is so immense. His wife and children are very lucky to have him in the family. I do have great respect for this man and I wouldn't dare argue with him and that's easy because I shared 99.99% of same moral values & logic with him. I just wished he was around during my formative years.

Change yourself and don’t lie or at least be honest. Those two have deep meaning to me. You can’t ever change if your not honest with your self. Not lying about yourself or lying period. That’s why the bible says, the truth shall set you free. I really enjoy listening to JP. Thanks Evan for this. 💪💪💪👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️

He is chockfull of information. Lordy, I could listen to him for days. My fave rule is #1, because this is so difficult to find. Many people are so focused on themselves and comparing themselves, they have difficulty doing this.

Several months ago I discovered Mr. Peterson on Bill M show, but I lost track and forgot all about my plans to learn all I could about him in order to decide if I was going to follow him or put him in the “crack-pot” file. Then yesterday, I accidentally saw his interview with an female Australian host who was very, very annoying, BUT,...I decided then and their, if anyone can calmly & coolie stay engaged with a person who was like finger nails on a black board without going postal,..then their my kind of “head shrink”! (Lol). So, my first impression was dead on,..i think he’s the Cats Meow!

What I love about Jordan is this: he's empathetic and as a professional, he's open to learning and especially learning not about his clients but FROM his clients. And I'd love for him to be my friend but someone else who believes in what he preaches would be cool too.

Don’t lie and be more precise in your speech. Don’t be arrogant and learn from others. Everyone has something to teach us and to offer. Act like you matter! In doing so you will treat yourself well and others! These are great words of wisdom to help people live on point, direct, and with purpose, wisdom and clarity. Thank you again Dr. Peterson!! 🙏

Awesome Video Evan :) I'm commenting here for the first time as you insisted to do so. I loved the 5th point of finding purpose after which our minds get clear as to what to do next in life and plan our life accordingly. Our strong purpose is what motivates us to do things when we are at our lowest. Peace.

I have been really bad at treating myself like I matter lately, and it's something I am going to work on going forward. First thing I am going to do is have these rules as my screensaver on my phone ❤
