Watching this after T.J. Oshie's dad passed away. Got a hat trick his first game after his passing. Bless the Oshie family. Hockey comes second during these times. Cant help but love this guy.

A grown man shouldn’t say sorry when talking about his father. Takes a strong person to watch their dad or anyone they loved go through that. I lost my dad from cancer and if this happened to anyone i loved id imagine it stings just as bad. As a Sabres fan I was never so happy to see another team win the cup. Was yelling at my tv all night for this and to see Ovie and others who waited for so long. Love a story in hockey

In my opinion, Oshie has been the true heart and soul of this team. He takes a beating, he checks, he skates hard, he keeps others on the team loose, he makes great plays and great passes, and he's willing to fight anyone who messes with his teammates. I love Oshie.

Hearing him say that about his dad really hit home for me. My grandma, who raised me is in the last stages of Alzheimer's and its heartbreaking to see her go without her even physically being gone yet. I hope his father does remember this day forever. One day I'm confident that there will be an end to this disease. From a Bolts fan, congrats and much love.
