This hit home for me on so many levels. My wife, Cheri passed away 4 years ago from Metastatic Breast Cancer, just like Natasha and only lasted 17 months from her diagnosis. I cried at each and every one of these songs thinking of her. She was a warrior just like Natasha. I was able to get a law passed in Nebraska to force radiologists to inform their patients when they have Dense Breast Tissue, which can hide cancer, because they both show up white on a mammogram. She had 5 years of "normal" mammograms and was told when she said she felt a lump that it didn't warrant further testing because she didn't have a first degree relative with BC! Come to find out later that having Dense Breast Tissue (DBT) is a higher indicator of breast cancer than having a mom with it! Now Cheri's Law is helping women across Nebraska to find their tumors sooner and hopefully in time to get it all removed from their bodies. Thank you for this tribute and bringing back such beautiful memories.

@@queensnowwhyte9275 Really? “Looking down from Heaven….” Amazing theology. Is that subjective idea found in the Bible of Wishful Thinking 🤔? That idea amazes me. Who thought that idea up? It’s a very pervasive idea. It’s nonsensical, really. If the dead are looking down from Heaven on the happy events they might see, conversely wouldn’t they also be seeing all this world’s devastating events, which would be heartbreaking ? 💔. The Holy Bible states in Ecclesiastes that “the dead know nothing under the sun”. Just think 🤔 about it……….

Cancer is so hard for anyone going through it. I've had it 2 times and it never gets easy. I had Lymphoma when I was just 28 years old. I beat it and now I'm 62 and had tounge cancer about 6 years ago. By far it was the worst for me but I'm still here. I'm a lucky man and I hope all people that ever gets it don't give up...

Hope you are still well and fighting strong. My grandfather fought 5 different cancers over the years he passed at 92 from Alzheimer’s and pneumonia. His battle began with them in his 50. Fight on and don’t give up. My uncle in his 50’s decided he was a marine through and through and was diagnosed with brain cancer the most aggressive and will not let it be unknown any longer. Knowing it could shorten his time. Generally six month from diagnose he lasted a year. Now others get that if not a little longer. Every second of every minute is precious. Don’t live to die, pleas remember to die to live and fight.

I still hate the phrase "losing their battle." with so much of my person. They gave all that they had, and cancer managed to worm its way in. Everyone who has fought did so with everything they had, and they should be allowed to rest, and feel free even if only for a short time.

As a nurse I've met so many of the strongest, bravest people throughout my caring for them.. Cancer was the scary word I came to fear and dread seeing. I found out so fast that most turn the scary C diagnoses around for me in my mind. Still scary but I found I learned how most turn their diagnosis into LIVING, not of dying. I was once told by a patient that learning she had cancer began her living life. As I asked her how she told me we are all going to pass away, none are immune to it but those that have great health including herself took the smallest things for granted. Simple things such as going to get grocheries are a chore for most, she found going let her smell the sweetness of buying her fruits, etc. She said she smells things and appreciated that more after cancer than before. Lesson is live every moment of your life as its your last. Never leave this life with regrets. Love hard, live happy and be thankful of it all, even the bad times.
@shannonfrey72423 жыл бұрын
I was told stop living to die and learn to die to live. I didn’t get it being so young. Then as you said the big C was the word being used on my child. It shook me to the core. She looked at the dr, as they asked does she have any questions. She smiled with flaming red hair and Crystal blue eyes am I going to die. The dr told her she doesn’t know but it’s not an aggressive location.so no. My daughter then said okay then let’s do it. She was 11 yrs old. Went through it all and then came the weekly dr appts to monthly dr appts to yearly appt. it’s been a roller coaster but taught us more then any adult ever did. She has been clean since 17. We handled that world together side by side. My sister decided she wanted to join in and me and my daughter talked and agreed but we sat her down first and explained the real world of it and let her decide then. She had never been to a children’s hospital let alone cancer center in one. She left straight faced like I told her even if a good or bad outcome you walk out not carrying on, us mothers support each other but on those days remember we may get good while one may get bad news. We need hope just not false hope of whats to come for some new ones. The dr told us well she’s being discharged she’s been clear 2 years now and unless headaches or symptoms return she’s good to go. That was 2 years ago. She is now 20 and expecting her first child. She wanted to wait longer but said her motto again. She goes every June for a luncheon for survivors to reconnect and meet new ones. It still makes me want to cry and smile all at the same time.

When she realized that all her singing friends would be backing her up and she lost it, I lost it.... and this song was one of my favorites back in the 90’s... it was a really dance-y kind of track so idk of that was a remake of an earlier song? But that’s neither here nor there.... my point is I FREAKING LOVED how they redid this, and the choir omg just took my breath away the whole thing!

I’m referring to her final performance which was a song called “everybody’s free” which her friends joined her as her backup choir. I know that song from the 90’s as a up tempo dance type track... and Loved how they slowed it down but it just made me wonder if the 90s version was a remake of an even earlier song
