What people seem to ignore is that Blitzo has a psychotic breakdown when he jells "nobody can have her" He is unable to differentiate between his memories and reality in that situation. This can happen under extreme stress, but also need some other lingering mental problems to trigger it.

@@IceMetalPunk It's much more than a projection, I also hate people who say "psychotic breakdown", because this was a clear sign of PTSD. He began to dissociate, hyperventilate, and take the memory/altered reality as the real one. He then began to react protectively, the little girl got in his space while he wasn't lucid, triggering his protective instincts. In his hallucinatory state he began attacking anyone who would "take his daughter" from him. Which became anyone and everyone who came near him. He snapped out of it and decided to gtfo with Stolas. Hyper focused on finding their daughters thanks to his mental breakdown. Blitzø has shown several signs of having PTSD, depression, and unhealthy self sabotaging coping skills he built to keep himself safe. Which is what he recognized in Loona. As someone with those problems it was easy for me to recognize those subtle ticks and emotional outbursts that stemmed from trauma and low self worth. He's honestly one of the most realistic and respectful portrayals of someone with these mental health issues. I thank the team for not sugar coating or going into harmful stereotypes. You can repeat vicious cycles, take several steps backwards, or sabotage growth. You can just as easily bounce back and pretend it's all fine. It's helpful for people not to see a TikTok trend that over saturates or misinforms people of mental health conditions. Or the people who fake it for clout. Not mad, seriously I am not, but I hope this helped give a helpful insight. :)

I don't know if anyone else has noticed or pointed it out yet, but Stolas stopped calling Blitz, "Blitzy". I didn't hear him use that pet name at all this episode, so something has definitely changed between their relationship even if it isn't incredibly obvious. Also, Stolas doesn't seem to belittle/objectify Blitz as much as he used to in previous episodes. Not out loud, at least. He's still thirsty, just not as dramatic about it, and he's showing more appreciation for Blitz for things besides his body. i.e - his violent sense of humor and his caring nature towards Loona.

They taking a step back, even if a forced one, kinda helped, their banter and interactions where actually healthier than normal. Stolas joking about Blitz memory and calling him Blitz etc, and protective dad Blitz is best Blitz, soo... My theory still is that Stolas is gonna find other way to I.M.P to have access to earth, and "free Blitz" from the agreement, than they will have a clean field to really start something if they like.

Meaning stolas was planning on giving him this necklace so we can have a human disguise as well as travel freely between hell and Earth

But also, Stolas describes Azathoth's tears as people's hopes and dreams that never came to be....like Blitzo's acting career, Stolas's promise to show the stars to Via, Via's desire to see them, Loona and Blitzo's mutual desire for a family, etc. The fireworks act as a stand-in for how even lost hopes and dreams can still turn into something beautiful

I think the reason why you never noticed the burns on Blitzø's hands is because he's always wearing gloves. You could see the same burns in the beginning of the harvest moon festival episode.

The reason why Blitz and Stolas are pretending everything is fine (like you said, how it feels like we missed an episode or something) is because it’s in character for them to do that. They are both mutually ignoring their feelings after Ozzie's, and the episode is primarily about their daughters. If you closely pay attention, you can see there is still some subtle tense atmosphere between those two and their body language during the interaction when Blitz accuses Stolas of not remembering the spells, which screams how Ozzie’s situation is still affecting them internally. How Blitz tries to act indifferent to Stolas while also throwing a bitter comment at him, and Stolas stands up for himself and acts sassy. Another thing to add is that, when Moxxie’s tells Blitz how Stolas seems to like him (he still doesn’t know about what happened between them after Ozzie’s), Blitz immediately denies it and says how his dick is good but not that good, implying how he still believes that Stolas is only using him for sex, and had a sad expression for a moment. Stolas's top priority right now is finding Via, and Stolas only sexually flirts with Blitz once out of habit. Plus, I think people forgot one thing: that Stolas has never had a healthy relationship before and the root of his first relationship, which was with Blitz, was always overly sexual, and it's going to take some time to properly get out of that mindset. Throughout the episode, Stolas has only been cordial and a bit emotionally distant to Blitz (like how he hasn’t called him Blitzy once at all, only darling) but he’s also still falling more in love with Blitz, despite the fact that he still believes that Blitz only used him for the book. So it would make sense why they didn’t bring up what happened at Ozzie’s because one is in denial, while the other is dealing with a messy divorce and a certain bitch, and they both didn’t have time to process things. It also really wasn't the time or place to address things between them, and plus, they must have been rug sweeping a little. Talking about their issues needs to be its own episode, and besides, imagine if they did bring it up here, with everything else going on, and then it's just never mentioned again. Then I think we would all have an issue with that. And the episode seems to be taking place in the next few days at least, so Stolas wouldn’t have time to get the crystals. So they don’t need to act out of character to show what’s going on between them; it’s about the subtle details. And lastly, despite their conflicting feelings for one another, they still show how deeply they mean to each other, who/what they care about, through facial expressions and body language. They are highly physical, and this is how they read one another. It can’t be hidden behind words or comfortable lies.

@@Ashurman666 I mean, I’m sure the crystal exchange will play out soon, and it wouldn’t really make sense to cram everything at once into one episode. We needed a break from the angst for now and, like I said before, their problems will come back sooner than later, and Stolas is going through his issues like the divorce with Stella, Blitz, and trying to slowly heal from Stella's emotional and physical abuse, so he wouldn’t have enough time to get the crystals yet. I trust the writers to know what to do next with their relationship.

I just want to point out real fast that not once has Octavia showed a complete understanding of her Dad's situation-- and I say that as a good thing!! Think about how easy would it be for Stolas to try to turn Octavia against Stella by telling his daughter about all the emotional and very likely physical abuse he endured during the marriage, but he HASN'T, because he's trying his best to shield her. EVEN NOW, he's STILL trying to protect her from the truth about his and Stella's terrible relationship and let her hold on to the past that she remembers when her parents 'didn't hate each other'.

High-ranking demons like Stolas and Sinners can only be killed with holy weapons, but lower-rank hell-born demons can be harmed by mundane stuff: they aren't immortal. In Episode 1 Blitzo got shot in the arm with a regular old gun and now he has a scar on his arm at that location. So yeah, Blitzo has extensive scarring means that he's been horrifically injured, but it might not have involved holy stuff.

When she said age out, it’s same for adoption programs for children. Upon reaching age of 18, they age out and have to basically live on their own. This comes with lots of difficulties on it’s own and can be traumatic to the child themself. I was lucky and managed to get adopted within the same month I was born, but not everyone is. And then there’s the variety of adoption programs and organizations, some of which are good, others are downright terrible and horrific.

I don’t think age out means death. I think it’s more like the orphanage kind where once she’s an adult she ages out of the system. Personally I like the interpretation that Blitz chose her specifically because she was about to “age out” of having a family. If no one adopts you before the system is done with you, you just….don’t have parents…ever. So I like the idea that Blitz wanted to save her from that because irl being closer to aging out makes people less likely to be adopted…which is deeply sad.

Since you didn’t catch it, Loona and Vortex are still friends and social media buds. I think she even follows Vortex’s GF which means she did go to that party he was going to as well back from S1E3. Also Octavia’s posts, talking about how she thinks the Universal Studios globe being a centerpiece is random but neat, asking “What’s Holly’s Wood?” and so on.

It is a pound but it’s also technically an adoption center for hellhound kids, Loona was 17 in that flashback and the person walking Blitzø around saying she would age out meant that she would literally age out as in she would turn 18 and be kicked out because she was technically an adult by then and so she couldn’t get adopted.

Blitzo putting his own face on Verosika on the calander is not the worst thing about it. Actually is pretty tame, if you dare to have a closer look at it. What bugged me in this episode that everyone just assumes Octavia and M&M wearing costumes. In season 1 made a pretty big deal to not to show themselves to humans. I hope that also comes back to bite them.

Oh, hello upper Midwestern flyover person. I hope Fargo isn't too cold this time of year. They put a lampshade, a bow, a wreath, and a lighthouse on it and you still missed it. No one notices them in LA because the assumption is they're just costumed actors busking for money, which M&M did. You see several costumed people in order to do all that lampshading, the clown even says outright he's doing it. Sorry you've never been to LA or dissected a plot to tease out subtle cues like stated jokes. Again, I hope you can go to Minot for Høstfest this year.

The area where Octavia landed is probably right in front of the Chinese Theater, where people wearing weird stuff jostle tourists for pictures and $$$. The demo tapes and art isn’t usually THAT close, because it’s Hollywood and Highland and they try to keep it out of there, but anyone anywhere in Hollywood or West Hollywood is used to people wearing weird stuff.

For the apps, some are made by/represent various Ring Princes, B-Eats - Beelzebub etc, it is really cool Also, watching Via you can sorta tell that Stolas raised her to have a good childhood, why he stayed with Stella, but he has not seemed to have pushed Via to her Goetia responsibilities as his father did with him Also thinking back to Lululand and Looking at S2 E1 and seeing how Stolas made his possible first "true" friend there shows that he had the sentiment for the circus more than Via in that, it was sorta his way of connecting to his daughter, not knowing it was not her wish to go there

This is very quickly becoming one of my favorite episodes of this show, it's painful seeing a lot of the more serious moments in this episode that deal with divorce and such, and like it's painful for me and my parents never even divorced but instead opted to keep being together even though they seem to really hate each other a lot of the time. I think it just kinda shows here that a situation where both parents actively start to hate each other is just a lose/lose scenario, if they divorce it can be incredibly traumatic and painful for their kid but if they stay together that can honestly be worse. I spent the majority of my childhood always on high alert for the next time my parents would start to scream at each other because it would usually trickle down to me in one way or another, and from my own experiences I get the feeling that Loona if she lived with her parents for any amount of time might have come from a home where both of the parents hated each other, it's not a proffessional opinion or anything but it seems to have manifested in her by giving her anger issues which is exactly what happened to me, if you're exposed to that sorta anger from parents for a long time it seems to be very easy to learn that anger and violence might just be how your supposed to deal with stuff. And then again at the end during the conversation between Octavia and Loona, There are so many things where Loona seems to hit the nail on the head, saying things like "everyone has issues" which is very true but a hard concept to grasp. And honestly lastly I fully agree with Loona that if you are capable of it you should try to cut some slack to your parents if it seems like they might actually be trying their best, it's the complicated situation where I personally believe everyone deserves a 2nd or sometimes even a 3rd chance but at the same time it's a very easy thing to say and a much harder thing to actually do

FYI, Loona had the bone phone in the pilot episode as well. Also, the water being 98% acid may not be all that's involved with the studio fire, as the music in the background is the same as when Stolas was possessing Agent 2, and summoning himself. Given his status as a freakishly powerful great demon prince, just by holding the bottles he could have corrupted them into something far more dangerous that was let loose when he threw it in anger. At the end of that scene, when Blitz is playing action hero for a moment, we can't forget that he. and almost certainly Stolas don't have to worry about the fire itself. ...and the series may have a new winner for most heartrending line. "Why does he hate her more than he loves me?"

This was an amazing episode especially as we learn why blitz got loona and why he picked her. It's great charachter development between Octavia and loona and even touching on stolas and blitz and how they feel about their daughters. It was pulling at the heart strings. I also do love it shows blitz really does love loona as a daughter more so than the verosika episode and shows deep down loona does love blitz

Ok, that's the first time I realised, when Stolas storms in Blitz office, the three imps looks quite scared, even Blitz is keeping a low profile, but Mox is particularly conscious, after the Truth Seekers episode, of how powerful Stolas is. Oh... And I just now realised we can indeed see the child from the show taking drugs just before it starts. Hell, I really love your reacts!

Moxx just shaking in fear and Blitzø standing in front of M&M to protect them🥺 (something we see Blitzø do often, stand in front of people he cares about to protect them- another example being Fizz in both Oops and Mammon) in Truth Seekers a small gesture that stuck out to me was Stolas grabs Blitzø's cheek and shakes him a bit too intensely when hes mad, and Moxxie grabs Stolas' hand to pull it away from Blitz. It feels like Moxxie doesn't like seeing Blitzø "man handled" and steps in- thats a good friend- even though he is so scared of Stolas!

just re-watching this after 9 months and now I realized you noticed the "bone-phone" on Loona's desk - that's the exact phone she already had in the pilot episode. I suspect at least some of the context missing from the Blitz/Stolas relationship is in that season finale episode Vivzie wasn't allowed to air. Also, considering how hard it's established to be to actually kill anyone in Hell, I figure aging out is more a foster care reference. Having dated someone in the system when I was Loona's age, that whole scene hits way too close to home

Personally doubt s1e8 will have Stolas in it at all, we have him arriving home and hangover the next day. I suspect that the character most developed then would be Loona, she seems unexpectidly open in this episode and that is the Tex's party.

Having gone through what Octavia was at around the same age, this one hit close to home a few times as you pointed out. Aside from that there were some incredibly funny moments. I think you missed that the guy that Octavia killed when she came through the portal was cartoon Brandon Rogers who of course is the voice actor for Blitz. I loved the flashback where we saw how Blitz adopted Loona. I'm pretty sure Loona was likely aware of who Octavia was, but I don't think they'd really met before. Their interaction was wonderful. It's the first time I recall seeing Loona actually smile for real. She not only accepted the hug Octavia gave her, but actually returned it. She's finally made a friend. I expect we'll get an episode at some point with them hanging out and getting into trouble somehow. At least I hope we do. We also need to see Blitz and Stolas sort out how their relationship is going to go. Stolas obviously still cares for him.

What was sad was that this was the purest form of miscommunication. Asking if Stolas would be finished by that night would be like asking me if I'll have my research paper done by tonight. The answer is definitely gonna be no, but if she asked if he's still free that night, he'd probably ask what was happening tonight. I mean, I feel like with a clearer head, Via would know that her dad isn't going to literally spend the next 48 hours straight shipping Stella's things. I would assume that by "Age out" it's probably something like the adoption system (just Hell's version being like a pound for Hellhounds). Once you hit a certain age, you are out of the adoption system and no longer a problem for them.

One thing I love about Stolas and his character design is that he doesn’t normally have pupils. His eyes are just solid red, but whenever he’s expressing a lot of emotion like anger in the first S2 episode with Stella or sadness/guilt like in this episode with Via, you see white dots in his eyes, his pupils coming out under extreme emotion.

Anyone can and will ship anyone with anything, no matter how awful. I try to just ignore it. The will they/won’t they have their dads is less of a problem. I’m sure it happens in real life. It could even happen when a married couple’s parents meet years later after they’re both widowed. But not only are they inappropriate age-wise, they have way different life experiences. Octavia probably goes to school and she’s grown up in a privileged home with an intact if horrible family, none of which Loóna has had.

My parents divorced when I was a kid, BUT... my parents had probably the most civilized divorce on the planet. A model for divorced. They didn't argue in front of us, and they didn't fight over us. They calmly sat down, and said "Ok, what is best not for us, but for the kids?" They then made arrangements. We'd live with dad, the breadwinner, but dad would bend over backwards to make sure we got to spend time with mom every other weekend, and when she ended up moving to another state for work, he flew us out to see her every summer for like a month. Does divorce suck? Yes. But it doesn't always have to be these screaming fits and home-destroying catastrophes? Absolutely not.

Stolas and Blitz are both heavily guilty of repressing their emotions, so they're both trying to pretend things are fine and the same as always, and with the hurry to get back to their daughters they defaulted to what they're used to anyway. They're all each other has for comfort, and they love each other, and even if they both believe they aren't loved back, they can't just turn off how they feel (no matter how hard they try). Stolas isn't calling Blitz "Blitzy," the flirting was only one line (& meant to stroke Blitz's ego and encourage him to do what he had to do), they bickered about the disguise/ memorizing... Things have changed, they're just not being obvious about it, because they both try to hide their emotional wounds. Plus, Stolas has been distracted by the divorce proceedings, Blitz has been distracted with work (and apparently a talk with Loona he's been putting off but 'the talk' could also very well refer to Stolas too), Stolas's spot on the calendar has question marks next to it so they might be skipping meet-ups, and given that Stella is only now demanding her things, it can't be that much after Ozzie's- maybe a couple weeks at most. I've (regrettably) tried to ignore issues for way longer

It was over pretty quick, the stuff just has to be moved, and most importantly, OCTAVIA IS WITH STOLAS. I just completely noticed two new things while watching your video (again. I really love your reactions to these shows).... The first one is That when Blitz is pulling Stolas away from the fire before they find the girls (or the girls find them) he actually was trying to type in Hot Topic but because of his really bad spelling, he didn't get it right. So he at least had a idea of where MAYBE they could be, especially Loona. And second, when your looking at Millie's Phone, I noticed SHE asked Blitz at some point if Moxie would actually be into a ball gag. And that wasn't that long ago too, it said read two weeks ago. I actually do wonder if her and Blitz have some sort of connection outside the whole sexual thing, especially cause he does treat her different too.

I, personally don't think Blutz made a mistake telling Loona he was going to replace her. At that point he was speaking to her as an Employer, not her father. It's not like he was going to kick her out of her home, or adopt a new hound. He was going to fire her for doing a shitty job, which, frankly he'd be very justified in doing. If she choose to take it personally after HER bluff was called, then that's her fault.
