Since you’re wondering about the general aesthetic of the hospital’s location, the B plot actually takes place in the sloth ring, identified by the pink sky. Actually the one of the broader jokes is the idea that one of hell’s main hospitals is located in the place where the employees are the least likely to take their duties seriously.

@@Scardy Could be the case, but I actually got the vibe that it was that combined with racism to some degree. It seems imps don't get treated to the best of healthcare, and hellhounds even less so, so to schedule an appointment at a high end hospital for basically a vaccine would be damn near impossible. I wouldn't be surprised if they were pushed back so far not because the hospital couldn't make an opening, but because non-imps and such take priority. It's never stated outright, but it was heavily implied, the racist undertones were very apparent this episode and I like that we're finally exploring this a bit more.

​@Scardy honestly, while it probably is, I'm kinda reminded of canadian hospitals. I don't live there, but what I've read is that, in spite of how generously affordable Healthcare is, the actual average medical center is a nightmare to be a patient for. Doctors work part-time, often leave to the states for better salaries, they're closed on weekends, and the wait times are downright unethical, including those for emergency treatment.

Blitz is the perfect example of someone who has had to hide their feelings for so long they can no longer express them at all without it feeling unbearably risky and anxiety-inducing. Probably because he's used to having his emotions used against him. Stolas is the perfect example of someone who uses their eloquence and charisma to project fake emotions whilst not feeling anything at all. He has finally found someone for whom those emotions are real, but because he's been faking it his entire life, he's actually extremely naive, and can't help but dig himself deeper and deeper into a hole, saying things that hurt Blitz, who in turn will never tell him he's hurt because that would mean expressing emotions, which feels far too dangerous for him. It's such a perfectly tragic combo for a romance and I love the pain they inflict on us every episode

If Stella or her brother decide that going after via is their only play, i personally have a suspicion that Octavia is a more dangerous character than they realize. Think about this she has her Mom's temperament at times but her father's intelligence. If she learns to refine both traits she'd be an even scarier person.

The flower petals at the end of the episode seems to be referencing the phrase ''he loves me, he loves me not." The first petal falls when Stolas sees that Blitz texted to check on him (''he loves me''). Another one falls when Stolas realizes Blitz wasn't going to respond to his final text (''he loves me not''). Another falls when he places the phone down (''he loves me''). Maybe there is some sliver of hope in Stolas that Blitz may truly care for him. Maybe he would respond soon. But then, the flower's last petal falls- ending on (''he loves me not'').

About the law enforcement thing, Vivziepop's version of hell has basically been described as "Earth but everything is just shittier". For example in this episode, there's the receptionist that can't read, the need the schedule a yearly doctor's appointment 5 years in advance, the comically oversized and evil-looking hypodermic needle, etc. So it's not that strange that law enforcement exists, they probably just aren't very good at their jobs

I have to give stolas some credit, he took this like a damn champion. He went the Kirito method of 'oh you can try to kill me, but I'll make sure you don't get to enjoy it.' hell he got angry when Octavia was threatened and if it wasn't for that rope he would have made good right then and there. As for blitz, I don't think he knows how to handle this. Stolas has always seemed so untouchable, but now? Now we have him brought off the pedestal and shown he can be hurt. And if DND teaches anything, if it can be hurt, it can die.

There is kinda one detail the brother might not have thought about that could have left Stolas back in the tunnel. In many royal families when the heir is too young to take the throne someone else (usually a family member) would take over as regent. They make all the important decisions in running the kingdom until the heir has come of age. If Via was still considered a minor Stella could have taken over as regent and maybe find a way to control her daughter after she takes the throne. Just a thought.... Also on a side note the nature of Stolas' injuries really hit home for me. Was in an accident last year and my shoulder had to be reconstructed. Was in physical therapy for over six months and it is still painfully sore sometimes. Not to mention the tube in his hand creeps me out. That was the worst part of my hospital stay. Every movement made that thing move and sting beneath the skin.

The first thing i noticed about the "he can get hurt" line is that blitzø has been willing to save stolas and protect him, as shown in loo loo land, dispite not thinking that stolas could get hurt at all. Also there could be another layer of self deprication in the fact that blitzø needed to be saved by stolas in truth seekers and now he knows that stolas could have gotten hurt protecting him.

It is interesting how we see some of the casual racism towards Imps in this episode, with the kid refering to them as "fire toads", and his mother telling him not to call them that to their face, but wait until they are in the car. Also, there's clearly some (possibly related) issues with Striker, we need some backstory on his hatred of the royalty and upper-classers. Reaction was gold as always, but what a sad note to end it on... Blitzo's face when he said "...he can get hurt?!" and the falling petals...oof...

At least, it shown they've been talking since Ozzie's so it makes their interaction at LA more understandable. I have the feeling Blitz is still in denial about Stolas state. That mix up with his own guilt, not being able to save him when he really needed him, and the self depreciation he showed a couple of time, I get why he can't reach more. But he at least made an effort here. I wonder if, as Stolas text it, he'll still be in the hospital the next episode he appears. As for Stella and her brother, it took it more like "you're dumb but at least you're attractive enough so that men can grow an interest in you" in the optic she might get married again sometime. She's clearly the biggest threat to Ocatvia right now in my opinion. she doesn't even flinch when her name is mentioned and we never relaly saw them interact. On the other hand, she kinda feel like she doesn't care about Stolas possessions, she just want revenge for how bad he humiliated her. And Andrealphus seems to care about his niece. Again, we don't know how close they are but the fact he used the same nickname as Stolas and looks to realize Octavia will have to take his role leads me to believe he's not that bad of a dude. Doesn't seem to be aware of the assassination plan and he might even have save Stolas life with good intentions in mind, not just using him for Stella. Who knows, I may have too much faith in him x) And I love that Milly and Moxie struggled against Stricker. He already showed that he's more powerful than the both of them back when he was first introduce. He even tied with Blitz. I wonder if he could have take him down, especially with Stolas being hurt and in real danger. Maybe that revenge will come later. They did their best but yeah, Stricker wasn't even really hurt in that fight. He's a real threat and if we don't see him before that season ends, maybe for a possible season 3.

At this point with Blitz and Stolas, it's a will they or won't they situation. Blitz is being Passive aggressive about their "relationship", keep in mind that Blitz is the person that hates being hurt, so he'll hurt whoever he's with to save himself the pain of abandonment. It may be a defense mechanism, to him at least, but it's doing the opposite. The whole heir thing, might be a foreshadowing and chances are that Striker might return for that. Also, we're probably going to see Barbie, Blitz's sister, later on this season. I'm actually looking forward to that.

The sad thing is that Blitzø did a morally correct thing for a parent to do, sending help to help Stolas as he take care of his daughter (hope that much is or won't be cause for discord as Stolas would also do the same for Octavia). I think Blitzø might be dyslexic instead of illiterate, as he can read and write, but his writing are short messes and he probably already struggle writing much less reading walls of text and replying emotionally charged stuff when he already has issues dealing with emotions. Rather than typing it out late I just hope he visits in person after driving home Luna (just not waiting for Stolas being discharged). Stella is only her own and her brother's ally... Octavia wanted a normal family and while anyone can give part of the blame to Stolas for cheating, anyone with half a brain cell can see her abuse toward Stolas being an even more huge factor. Anyone thinking Stella even care about the daughter she barely remember as a background furniture useful to belittle Stolas (yes she was using her own daughter existence as a way to mock Stolas being bad in bed), is a complete fool. She is an unrepentant cruel sociopath that love inflicting pain upon others even by hell's standards. I have zero reason to believe she wouldn't go after her own daughter, outside that she is too dumb to even realize why doing so would be advantageous to her (but her brother gonna fix that for her).

I still feel like this episode is a great view into Blitzø caring a lot about Stolas. He is even scared/pissed when he learns Stolas is kidnapped- even though in his mind he thinks of Stolas as someone who can't really be hurt) and is only NOT going because Blitzø is first and foremost a caring father. I think him not texting Stolas back isn't as...catastrophic as I see some people think of it? Look at their convos so far... Stolas has been saying alllll the wrong things, and Blitzø clearly put effort in to type out a message instead of using talk-to-text or emojis (he typed out the frown) I think Blitzø just feels overwhelmed from them being in an awkward place, and probably guilty for not going to get Stolas himself. It can be hard to face the reality of someone being really hurt because of you, and the messages Stolas sent are a bit...emotional so it makes sense imo that Blitzø wouldn't know WHAT to type. Plus when you're not fluent/literate its even more stressful to think of what to type. I don't think Blitzø was refusing to type back or that he didn't give a crap- I think he just sat there stressed & staring at his phone, then probably went back to comforting Loona and driving home 🤷 SPOILERS: Plus after this all we know about them is BLitzø struggling to think Stolas thinks ANYTHING of him besides being a "s3x toy hook up". Would you want to be vulnerable to someone who "confirmed" they just want s3x from you? Their most honest moment as a pair so far has been Blitzø saying "don't act like this is anything but you wanting me to fck you!" and apologizing for NOT putting out...... Meanwhile, bless his dumb silly self, Stolas said nothing to correct Blitzø! just "ok goodnight" 😭 bro say literally anything to dispell Blitzø's assumption!!

Blitzo sending Stolas that first message is genuinely him being worried about him, showing it in the only way his emotionally stunted self knows. Then him typing and not sending anything reads to me like he got cold feet. He thinks Stolas only wants him for sex (we see it’s still the case in episode 2 of season 2 where his response to Moxxie saying Stolas likes him was “my dick is good but it’s not that good”), and sees Stolas trying to offer him an out of the sexual engagement as a rejection, instead of what it is (an attempt to give Blitzo a way out of the very transactional sex they were having, while trying to form a real actual relationship with him), so in fear of getting rejected, and with how chronically incapable of sincerity he is, he didn’t know how to react to that. This entire scene is painful to watch, frankly.

Stolas age and how time works in hell is tricky, as there are two options. 1 time flows different in Hell, which frankly I think Vivzy shouldn't use, it makes interacting with Earth confusing. 2. Stolas is not the first Stolas, rather he was given the name and position. That way our Stolas can be only 35 yet Stolas can be in the bible. Since we know angelic weapons can kill demons number 2 makes even more sense, the Original got killed and Piemon had to have another son named Stolas. It would explain why we never see Stolas siblings. To them he's an upstart new kid not the brother they knew for thousands of years. Makes his childhood sadder too, dad is barely around, his brothers and sisters ignore him. Would also mean had Octavia been born a boy he'd be Stolas the 3rd.
