Good to see a vid! Did not realize that anything plugged in would be protected.

I thought that was a pretty cool jump in technology myself. Thanks for noticing and I have a lot more videos about to come down the pipeline. Thanks for the comment and happy camping.

Ok so I have a few questions. First, how would things work with a super charger installed? Would one need to purchase two individual DC protectors to protect each string of panels?. Secondly, if you have your system wired thru a house switch, are your 4 circuits protected ONLY when switched to battery? Ask me how I know all this!!

Great questions! Your 4 circuits would only be protected on battery power as they would be isolated from the EMP system with the transfer switch in "Grid" position. I have no idea about the super charger and a separate solar array. My guess is that you would need a separate EMP shield for the second array but probably a question for Inergy. Thanks for the comment and happy camping. :)

Great video! If you are grid charging your flex 1500 system rather than using solar, is the flex 1500 system protected with EMP shield plugged into one of the outlets? Or does the emp shield have to go in between the grid outlet and the flex 1500 power cable? Thanks for your help!

Do you have any idea what it takes to generate an EMP? If you’re close enough to an EMP to effect your electronics you’re dead. Like Butch told Sundance; it’s not the fall that’s going to kill ya.

I'm fully aware of what it takes to generate an EMP. I think my biggest power protection concern would be lightning strikes or much more rarely a solar flare. If we're talkin about high-altitude nuclear weapon detonations, I'm not sure I going to care if my refrigerator is still working after complete global destruction... but it will. ;) Thanks for the comment and happy camping.

What kind of solar panels can you use with that generator? I have goal zero 8mm panels
@fullmoonadventureclub
@fullmoonadventureclub Жыл бұрын
I believe you can use any panels with the Flex 1500 up to 90 volts. I use 6 100 watt Inergy solar panels in parallel. They do not get full sun so I only pull in about 350 watts.

So if you plug the AC input cord (Charging Brick) of another Solar Generator (ex. Jackery) into the EMP shield AC unit, that Jackery should be protected? correct? This would allow you to protect other Solar Generators without storing them in Faraday bags / cages..

Great question. It should protect the AC components. However, I'm not sure if the DC components of the other solar generators would be protected. I'm afraid that's going to have to be a question for Inergy or EMP Shield.
