I too cried watching this video. Folks really had the holyghost back then and they understood what the holyghost is. Today folks think it is some fancy footwork or thats all they come to the temple for now days. Back then the mothers would Praise Him till they were drenched in sweat. The danced until Heaven fell down to meet them at their point of need. My God we need this again in our churches.

Those days of the 'real' Pentecostal & Holiness Church are gone...today, from the pulpit to the door it's a fashion show...everyone wants a specialized title "Bishop", "Apostle Dr.", etc...worship was authentic and after struggling trying to make ends meet, the saints would gather and be reenergized by the Spirit through testimony, singing, and preaching expressing thanks to God by shouting and dancing. I know today's Church mothers and fathers miss this.

+Marcus Carter Holiness is NOT black suits, black long dresses, absence of makeup where the women all look dowdy dressing like "church mothers". Paul instructs women in particular 1 Tim 2:9 to dress in modest apparel with the emphasis being on the "person inside the body". There is nothing wrong with Christians being attractive fashionable without going to the extreme. First Lady Mae Blake in the COGIC is very fashionable and attractive but her inner spirit is the "icing on the cake" plus she's classy and feminine. True holiness is within the person.

this church is solid proof that you don't need a 100 voice choir and 600 people to tear a church up.....and who in THE WORLD IS THAT WOMAN LEADING THIS SONG???? SHE'S INCREDIBLE!!!

This has Brought a Smile to my face. This is the best old School praise break I've seen on KZbin. This is how you praise God. These Sisters were in the spirit.

Amazing! Take us back to the old time way! These hymns/songs touched a sinner and renewed the saints.. You couldn't ignore the Holy Ghost. These mothers and prayer warriors could do this all night long. We would get out of service anywhere between 11:pm-2:am . Folks did'nt want to leave. You could feel the presence of God! Thank you Jesus!

Royd Gardner Amen, Amen, Amen. I can remember being in church until 1am during the Sunday evening 7 o'clock service. But when we had a Revival we'd be there sometimes all night.

The days when there was order. No one was on FB or Twitter during church. The church was on one accord. Folks wasn't sitting around, they in on the devotion. Thank God to my grandmother who has gone on to be w/ the Lord, id it wasn't for her taking me to churches that had this type of praise, I'd say forget it. #Memories

I miss church back in the 80's...even the tamborines sounded different...the saints were totally committed to serving and praising God...they were not on a clock--like nowadays...true Penecostal praise! I Love it!!! (I'm so glad this is what I was raised in!)

It was something to see the mothers who prior to service starting would be taking about how their legs, hips, and back had been acking them; but under the authority of the Holy Ghost they would jump and spin in the Spirit provoking you to move out the pews in praise break yourself. Its something about the Hoy Ghost....Haleluhia I wouldn't trade it for the world.
