I have found a 14 X14 X 8 inch plywood box that I am sanding on as a start to building my noise box. I will have to build a lid for it but that is part of the fun for me. I have a small pile of objects I am thinking about. Thank you for your help and support. This is mind bending and deeply moving. Very nice indeed Mark.

It’s very interesting and fun building one, and the process of experimenting with the sounds the found objects make is fascinating. Good luck with it!

This was very stimulating, I felt like you activated many distant neurons with this sonic journey. I wish I could wear blue tooth clothing that was designed to vibrate at low frequencies, targeting specific areas with high accuracy. With music like this, you could totally heighten the sense of anxiety by targeting the chest area, or subconscious feelings of walking outside by doing a L R L R pattern between the legs/feet, or achieving a meditative, body-mindfulness experience. I find it fascinating how you orchestrated familiar sounds into the abstract ambience. Sometimes it's meant to catch your attention, sometimes it feels more subconscious. There are moments where there's so much counterpoint that it's hard to focus on one particular thing, but you balance these moments with entirely new, more sparse textures. It never felt noisy, all well-considered, very well balanced and organic, if only it lasted for an hour! Did you have a general outline for some sort of pseudo score/timeline, or to what lengths did you plan out this experience prior to recording?? This is so beautiful! It's also unfortunate that most people will just assume this was just AI and not give it a second glance.

Thanks, I'm glad you appreciated this improvised composition. I planned this one to last about ten minutes, usually though there is no time frame. I assemble the sounds I'm going to use in the piece by programming patches on the Peak and Bioscape, preparing any field recordings, tuning the radios into something interesting and adjusting the effects to suit. Usually I have an idea for starting the piece, and maybe one or two other parts in my head, but otherwise it's improvised. I'd love to do one that lasts for an hour, maybe I will after reading your comment.

pretty nice sound, how do you make those noise boxes instruments ?
@marfarsАй бұрын
Basically they are simply wooden boxes with piezo pickups on the inside that amplify any noise produced on the surface.
@ayrtonpaul608Ай бұрын
@@marfars Nice, pretty clean sound for a piezo pickup. do you have any specific model ?
@marfarsАй бұрын
@@ayrtonpaul608 not really, i found the cheap ones on amazon seem to work the best. Run through hi z input on interface, then a noise gate and a bit of eq before effects.

If you mean the radios ( one of which is tuned to a talk station) I control them with the monitor controller, they are then routed to the desk, which has aux to the zoom Pedal delays, then into logic which has backwards delay and stereo delay on the radio channel.
