what you do with a paint brush is sublime this is wonderful I sanded down my box yesterday. Today I am going to get some super glue to seal some cracks and delaminate some plies

@@marfars I have two handles that came from old Luffa back scrubbers. They have sanded down very nicely. I am planning to both glue and bolt the to the back of the box and stretch multiple long springs between them. I am hoping this will make it easy to manipulate the springs without interfering with my other noise makers.

@@bearshield7138 springs are very effective, definitely my favourites at the moment. I’m thinking about building another box with a focus on just springs.

This is really well done Mark. I’ve always been fascinated by music with field recordings since I first heard Fred Frith ding it back in the 80’s. Finally getting to a place where I can make music again myself, and find this very inspirational.

Hey. When I saw the diy boxes you have got I thought "pling plong boing" like many other vids.. but man was I wrong. Using brushes on the various springs, nuts and bolts brought out a really deep dark ambient! I really like your work! This was pure gold. New Sub! Thanx for sharing. /Greetings from Sweden

Another crowded street filled with ambient mystery! Nice work Mark!

Thats what I thought when I recorded it, there is so much going on when you listen to it, a whole world of sound is revealed. Next time though I'd like to record some quieter streets and see how that works out.

That noisebox is so powerful, it gets played with a paintbrush! This was rad, thanks for sharing. You look at home in your studio, please keep creating!
