yes, people dont even know that he is a sithlord, yet he has enough authority for people to fear or respect him, no one can reach him, everything he says is already planned, there is no error and even if there is, palpatine will eliminate it this was a time where the empire was at its weakest, since if every system would go against it, palpatines empire would be ashes, so he continued to give people the belive that they have more choices, while there is only one choice
@joseluis5055 Жыл бұрын
This is why the Sith won and the Jedi lost, up until Luke. Because the Sith had evolved during the 1000 years of hiding and plotting. The Jedi were probably expecting them to return with a massive army and attack the Temple head on, but the Sith weren't just warriors. They had now become politicians, businessmen, scientists. They striked the Jedi in a smarter way they wouldn't expect.

More like this was the plan from beginning, he need a scapegoat, needless to say Rampart was that. Palpatine likely knew even the truth could tot be locked forever, so he instead putts on a different. Needless it was enough to get most of the senate on his side by even putting the soldiers under Rampart's command also in the account to proceed with the creation of what would be known as the Stormtrooper Corps, only this time, he managed to convince the senate to follow his own version of Rampart's plan.

This really shows the difference between political lightweight and heavyweight. No matter how much talk there is on either side. As soon as the one who has proven himself over and over again and thus become respected or have built their leadership this way, every single word he speaks weighs more than any speech any other politician has made. Only a few had that power in Star Wars, Padmé, Bail and of course Palpatine, who dragged senator chuchi and hee victory across the floor as soon as he entered the room. She’ll have to do a lot more if she ever wishes to come close to where Padmé once stood.
@stephen8805 Жыл бұрын
Padme had the luxury of being a republic senator when there was some level of decency and honor in the Republic senate. No such decency exists in the imperial senate where assassinations are the way of things and there are no Jedi Knights protecting everyone.
@Mourtzouphlos240 Жыл бұрын
That Padme was the only one who could get a "win" over him in this field is remarkable. It also means that there was never any chance of ending The Empire anywhere aside from The Battlefield and only a Jedi could end the Sith forever.
@Serocco Жыл бұрын
Padme could have been forever known as Chancellor Amidala if Palpatine was exposed sooner
@MMZERO9 Жыл бұрын
@@Serocco Palpatine would have had a contingency for that. This is someone whose backup plans have backups. For all of Padmé’s prowess in the political arena, she didn’t really know who and what she was dealing with when it came to Sidious. It’s interesting how when she remarked to Anakin if his love blinded him, she didn’t realize her love for the Republic blinded her to the truth-the Republic she served and loved had been a sham for a millennium.

“I am deeply troubled by this recent revelation. My gratitude to Senator Chuchi for exposing a rogue element within our ranks. Many lives have been lost. But I assure you Admiral Rampart will face the consequences for his treachery. However he did not act alone. The fact that the clones under his command so blindly follow orders inflicted such carnage without hesitation gives me pause. Perhaps it is time for the change. Now more than ever. Building a strong galaxy requires protection and security. Due to the nefarious actions of Admiral Rampart and the immediacy of the bill on the floor today, it is my opinion that this legislation is our future. With this momentous act, we shall usher in a new era heralded by the Imperial Stormtroopers.”
