Honestly, as much as I rag on the Chinese in general, there are some concepts they have that I feel actually bring up really good points. Feng Shui is one of them. I completely understand that the arrangement of a room can give off a certain kind of… how do I say this, an aura? An energy? A tangible feeling that you can be relaxed in a room which is tended to and taken care of as opposed to a room where little or no thought was put into its upkeep. For me, at least, this feeling is a conscious thing I’ve always considered whenever I go into any particular room.

For example, having a window next to your bed, directly towards the rising sun, is utterly idiotic. It's encouraged to build it in any way but North-east, North, or North-west. If I wasn't mistaken, building the window directly where the sun set however, brings bad luck? And it turns out, it did! The wind in China blows a certain way, thanks to their unique geographical placement, and the wind from the south, aka the sea, tends to be rather cold compared to the ones from the mountain, and it get's people sick rather often, causing them to "fall into mysterious circumstances" easily.

Confucianism is pretty strictly patriarchal, so you can count on histories demonizing any female in power. Not like they were saints, but most of what they did is fairly in line with what the male emperors did (kill your rivals, etc). For one of the more underrated women in Chinese history, there is the lady Fu Hao. She was the favored concubine of a Shang dynasty King/Emperor. Her grave was discovered in the 70s and is the only tomb of that dynasty that was fully intact upon discovery. It showed that she took on some of the highest military and religious roles that were ordinarily reserved for men only and buried with full honors and rich gifts.

The actual story about Joseph is that Potiphar's wife wanted to sleep with him, he refused because he respected the sanctity of marriage, and because it went against everything he believed so he refused. But, lucky for him, Potiphar respected him enough and knew him well enough to know he would do no such thing, so instead of full on execution he was just imprisoned. There Joseph met some other prisoners and interpreted their dreams, then he intepreted the Pharaoh's dreams and went of to become his second in command. I think in the Muslim account, Potiphar's wife tears a piece of cloth off of Joseph's tunic, and uses it as proof against him. But then Potiphar, when he catches Joseph, notices that the piece of his tunic that was torn off is on his back, so he realize Joseph was innocent.

Real question here : Is Jack actually kinda amazing or is it just me that sucks ? I mean, I'm the same age as him, I'm also a total weeb like him and I'm unhealthily curious about a large variety of subjects. So normally, I take some pride in being at least somewhat knowledgeable about a great many things... But then I look at Jack's videos and I feel kinda humbled and/or uncomfortable about my shortcomings.
