Great videos, although a little more detail and explanation would go a long way.

I completely disagree; we was certainly worse than Caligula. His very short reign is indicative and it almost seems to me some of the stories about him are too silly to me made up. Despite, how the movies make things look assassinating Emperors was not done lightly.

...remember, history is written by the victors, and the assassination of a legitimately raised Emperor had to be justified to posterity...same thing in Caligula's case...many scholar's now put forth the idea that the Emperor Claudius, his uncle, engineered his overthrow, especially when the first thing the Praetorian Guard do is conveniently find Claudius and declare him as Emperor and he pays them large sums...he spends the rest of his reign, almost a decade, vilifying Caligula, his last wife and niece, Empress Agrippina the Younger, Caligula's sister and mother of Nero, who hated her brother ensured the vilification continued to make Emperor Nero look good until Nero had her killed of course....

There was never a god named "Sol Invictus." (1:01) Sol was a traditional Roman Sun god and _invictus_ is a modifier that means "unconquered." The god Elagabalus introduced to Rome was named "Elagabal."

So do you think Syria made him a pervert or what? Lol! Maybe you are saying that they judged him too harshly cause he was raised in Syria? Well, I don't buy that ; I honestly believe that his conduct was simply beyond over the top and he was whorish with the guards and flirty with the guards that it sealed his fate. I guess you are right that Calligula was much worse. Bottom line is, it's a combination of his extreme perversion and religious beliefs that did it. Even the way he was murdered

suggests great hatred for him. Poor confused teenager, I know tons of guys just like him and probably worse when it comes to their tastes lol!

Elegabulus was a sadist who killed people, devalued currency, attempted to dismantle the traditional Roman family and belief system, rewarded incompetents and was incompetent himself. A psychopath...not a "confused teen".
@EarlRegent3 жыл бұрын
@@ersturdevant2831 Of course incompetence is to be expected from confusion. "Dismantling the Roman family?" Are you campaigning for the republican party? LOL! He wasn't the first sexually adventurous leader of Rome you know.

If what was written about holds true, then the LGBT community should stay clear of associating with him. He sounds simply insane not a normal LGBT person.

He wasn't the creepiest. He was the Obama of the Roman Empire.
